The colors are not that good compared to the hue color lamps. Definitely not worth the price.

As with most of the Hue system, this bulb is certainly pricey. But if you're able to look past that, the Hue system is one of the best out on the market with its app and voice assistant integration, as well as integration with IFTTT. This bulb can help create just the right atmosphere in areas of your home that use a chandelier—think dining room or perhaps staircase or that chandelier hanging up from your vaulted ceiling? It has excellent dimming capability, a bunch of lighting presets you can use in the app, or you can create your own presets. Setup your lighting group and choose whatever color you want (wish they offered hexadecimal options or manual R,G,B input values).

Who knew a light could be so fun! This decorative light can somehow change to any color you can imagine. There isn't much else to say about the light except that it works great. The only thing I would change would be the base - would rather see it in a standard base instead of candelabra. I purchased an adapter so I could plug my light in on the ceiling where we all hang out (for great ambience). The most difficult part about using a smart light is that you have to have a bridge installed to use it - it won't connect directly to any apps without a bridge. With a Philips Hue Bridge you can set programs and put on some pretty cool light shows. Instead of installing a Hue Bridge, I set my lights up with the Amazon Echo Plus, which has a built in bridge. Just in case you are interested, I thought I would share my thoughts on this. The really cool thing about using the Echo Plus is that you can tell Alexa to turn the light on, turn to whatever color you like, and to whatever brightness percent you like. The downside is that Alexa doesn't have an app that can program the light to create effects (like a sunrise for example). The only way to change the light color is to do it with voice. The Philips Hue app won't recognize the bridge on the Echo Plus, which I am hoping that changes in the future. My guess is that Philips wants you to buy their bridge instead of using the Echo bridge. Since it is still a new device, I am hoping that Philips changes their app or that Alexa adds one. Overall, no matter how you hook it up this light is a definite buy and almost enough reason to get your smart home started!

Product works great Problem is it the bulb is too long and I wish I could find a product with the sugar bowl with these abilities

Would have been nice to know you need a bridge for it to work especially since it was for a 9 year old for Christmas

This is an excellent addition to the Hue ecosystem but please buy from somewhere else, Best Buy over charges

These are a great addition to my hue family if lights. And just in time for the holidays. Great variation in brightness, and as always, way to set up. No complaints at all. Reminder: these are not normal bulb sizes, they are for chandeliers, and lamp/accent lights.

Hue bulbs are absolutely amazing - never a bad bulb

The colors just don’t seem as bright as the other types of bulbs. They’re fine for the smaller fixtures, but I prefer the larger bulbs, or just the white version of this type.

should have been clear and warn this product needed the philips hue hub in order to work. As a stand alone product it just lights up as a white light bulb.

I was initially having trouble connecting this to Wi-Fi but once it's set, it's very cool. Unfortunately, I have to take a star because I found this bulb is a bit taller than standard bulb. Also, it is quite pricey.

I live in a small apartment with high ceilings. These new hue bulbs have breathed new life into the task and ambiance lighting that i use everyday. Once you configure how you use them day in and day out, its amazing. I have them both connected to Homekit and Alexa, which is super handy! I placed a small order just for the living room (to test). I was so blown away by these for just a couple a weeks i just placed my second order for the kitchen and bathroom.. Side note: I really don't see these being used fully at their potential if you're not tech savvy... If you love techie connected stuff these lights are the route to go...

The e12 bulb is another great addition if you have a Phillip hue entourage in your home. I use it for the bedroom reading lamps and adds a great versatile mood and Instant light setting. The bulb however is a little larger than the traditional candelera bulb but I can live with that because of the functionality with my google home. Makes for a futuristic feel of a smart home. Truly love it. Just wish the price point was a little lower.

I bought a set of these E12 decorative smart light bulbs for my foyer, hanging, open air light fixture. Might also get an accent lamp bc I like the different colors. Love the ability to control the hanging light fixture using the Philips Hue Bridge and app. When I’m away from my property, I can set the hours the lights go on. Can even set a random pattern. With the app, I don’t have to worry about forgetting to set up the time schedule. If I have company over, I use the different colors to liven up the party and create conversation. Also during December, I can use different colors with an accent lamp, to complement my X-Mas tree. Philips Hue Lightning products are the most comprehensive line of smart lightning available now, so have a look around at all they have to offer. These light bulbs are a very nice addition to my home and highly recommend them to anyone with a similar environment/taste.

This decorative candle from Philips is downright beautiful. When adding it to your home and hue kit it shines and gives your home a wonderful vibe. Not only it can do warm and cool white but it can also do 16 million colors to your liking. It works as expected and adding it to my A19 kit was easy. To me the Philps Hue is worth to own just for the colors bubs alone. The bubs get really bright as well and will illuminate your home with extravagant colors. I personally am just going to buy more of these myself as well as recommend it to my whole family. You can't buy these separately because you will need to hue bridge and a smartphone app to change colors. Philips if you are listening keep improving on this product!

Unfortunately it didn't work with the light I had hoped to use it on. Just flashed bright white like a night club light. Return.

Not very bright at all for the price you need way more than one to light up a room

This light bulb can delight in multiple ways for the right fixture in your home. The smart bulb capabilities through the app are really cool, providing a multitude of light variations on demand. I connected mine and love that I can have my smart speaker system turn the light on and off on demand without needing to use the app. I am definitely a fan of this whole system and definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a smart bulb.

I absolutely love these bulbs. The setup is very easy. I like using the Philips app over using the home app in the iPhone. Just a lot easier to navigate and customize settings to my liking. The auto settings are cool too. Having the light turn on and off at certain times is awesome. I'm a huge football fan also so when my favorite team is about to play the like blink for about 20 seconds letting me know the game is about to come on.
