So cool when it works. I have to launch the app twice every time to get my lights to show up in the app. App could be faster too. I still love it even with those bugs.

Time has not been good to this setup. They discontinued the hub and I had to buy a new one and now both bulbs have died. This item has been discontinued , but it is worth reviewing just to state that it is now e waste.

My first step into home automation were with the belkin line of smart lights. They worked ok for the first week but then the issues started. They would show up for a few seconds and then when I pressed them the lights would disappear. So I decided to give these lights a try. They are more expensive than other brands but they just work. I have no issues with this system to this day. Yes the app is lacking many features but there are plenty of other apps that fix that problem. Im so happy to have these lights that I will continue to add more to my home.

I am a big fan of the Philips Hue Lux bulbs. They are extremely easy to set up. Controlling lighting from home and away from the home by use of the app is very convenient. Being able to have dimmable lights without having to have an electrician come and install dimmers is a big pro for me. The only downfall I have noticed is that there is a slight delay when turning on from the switch but if you are controlling the lights strictly from the app you will not notice this.

On sale it was worth a try. Of course now I know Phillips is coming out with a newer more advanced hub, but I wanted something to add to my Harmony Home Control system without buying Harmony's $99 Hub Extender. Maybe I should have bought that, but the Lux Starter Kit on sale was two bulbs and a hub for only $56. A way better deal only now I can't seem to find an adapter to control my old rope lights. I just need something to turn them on and off and integrate with the rest, but information from Phillips and especially Logitech is really tough to find. My only solution is to buy a switch and test it and return it if it doesn't work with either hub, but I'll be darned if I'm going to fork out for yet another hub for yet another system! My router and power outlets are already maxed out! Not to mention the radio waves probably shooting through all of our bodies! I hope as we go along and more gear becomes controllable, available, and hopefully affordable, more stuff can talk to each other without buying new hubs!

I started with this kit thinking a couple of lights would be nice to have and within a week I had 4 more. The coolest thing is that once I set it up I rarely touch it anymore. It turns off when I leave, it turns on when I come home (but only if it's after dark) and it syncs up with another app called 'IF' that expands the capabilities like crazy. When I put my Jawbone in sleep mode the lights automatically turn off. When I get an email they flash to notify me. It's nuts how much it can do without me ever having to touch them. I rarely access the app anymore because everything is automated and that's the best part.

The light bulbs can be controlled from your smartphone or tablet. Not having to get up to turn off the lights. Being able to dim the light without the need for a dimmer.

When choosing between Lux or the colored bulbs, I found this to be a better way to start off on your "mood journey". The hub is included along with 2 dimmable white lights--do not expect colored lights as that is a different kit. Nice thing about this is you can have pure white light and add color changing bulbs when and where needed! Less costly than the $199 price tag for the colored kit, unless the color is your main objective.

I am very in love with this product. The set up was very easy and I never had any issues. There are many reason why I love this product but the best is the geofence feature where in my lights automatically turn on when I am about to arrive my house and automatically turn off when I leave my house. Cool!

I got two of these for my den. They dont change colors but they put off some pretty decent light for 60 watt equivalent. My den is my office so the white light is perfect for that room! They dim nicely too. Just do it...you wont be sorry!!!

Set up was a breeze - just use the provided cable to connect the hub to your router and screw in the light bulbs. Very pleased that there is seamless integration with Amazon Echo so I can adjust the lights by voice.

I use this controller in conjunction with an Amazon echo to control multiple Phillips and GE LED bulbs in my home. The hub does control GE Link bulbs and enables the echo to do so as well. The Android app works well and is responsive. The Philips bulbs themselves are a softer light than the GE ones.

I usually wouldn't pay for luxury equipment like this, specially at this price, but sometimes you have to treat yourself. Im not sure how these compare to the other 'connected' bulbs, but the Philips Hue delivers on its promise. Its a refined product that delivers on what it promises. So far it has replaced my alarm clock. It simulates a sunrise and wakes me up gently.

Made sure my Amazon Echo was able to control it. Now it is a breeze telling Alexa to turn the lights on or off and even dim them.
