The light bulbs can be controlled from your smartphone or tablet. Not having to get up to turn off the lights. Being able to dim the light without the need for a dimmer. These work unlike WEMO Junk

This is an affordable way to try out some of the newest technology for automating your home. It is easy to set up and easy to use. I went from this to adding more of the HUE lights to my home.

Works great, bulbs are brighter than I expected. Can't wait to get some color changing bulbs. Only complaint was setup was a bit longer than expected but once set up system works flawless.

Loved this item. Was on the fence as to whether I really needed another tech item in the house. Much better than expected and easy to set up. Didn't care about color and just wanted to be able to control and dim all the lights in the house. Ive bought add on lights now to cover all lamps including bedroom. All work great and was as simple as screwing in a light bulb. Got a deal at Best Buy for $55 for starter and $14 a bulb extra. That's about the same as buying a standard led bulb! Added bonus is the "geofencing" sensor that knows when your phone leave the house And turns a all the lights out, then turns on lights when you return like magic!

This set allowed my to affordably turn many lights in my house into smart lights, with the ability to trigger brightness using scenes and IFTTT. Just wish Homekit was included already.

I got this free as a promotion. It's neat, not sure I would pay for it, but I like what I have seen so far. I'm sure I will like it even more as I figure out more features on it.

This light is does a great job of scheduling. I can have it randomize when it goes off to make it look like I'm home. Love how I can turn it on or off when away from home wifi.

Easy to use just plug in and follow a few steps and you are off. This is a good start to home automated. I have added a few extra lights and color lights with no problem

I couldn't put a z-wave switch behind the outlet for this light so bought this and connected it into my system via an app - works great and very happy with it.

Come on at night when I get home and I'm within wifi range. Works with my amazon echo. I can turn them on with my voice using my Echo. Lazy, but how cool?!

These are led light bulbs, they are very energy efficient. The lighting they produce is great, I really like them and would recommend them.

This kit works great for a basic wifi light system. Easily controlled from a phone or simply set up some scheduled scenarios with the app.

This is a review on the product so I didn't knock it down a star but really think it's over priced at 30 per bulb for dimming. For the particular use in a ceiling fan with a four light kit, needed dimming and there wasn't a seperate switch for light and fan. It was cheaper than rewiring or replacing the fan light combo that had built in dimming. Works exactly as described but the android app is a little slow. iPad app has a widget so can quickly adjust scenes. 5 stars on the product, android app needs a widget.

I bought this as a start to a smart connected home. I use this kit so I can program certain lights to turn on and off when needed. I can control the timers and alarms with my smart phone. As long as you have a router in the house you can use this kit. This kit comes with 2 a19 bulbs, you can add up to 50 light bulbs to run on a single bridge. Besides the philips hue, you can also use cree bulbs.

I travel a lot and I wanted some smart bulbs to make my house look occupied. I have a decent investment in Zwave stuff, but their bulb/sockets haven't been keeping up with the times. I was hesitant to add another system to the house, but this was dead-simple and the programming was easy. I like the "randomization" of the off times as well (within a 30 minute range) so it doesn't look like I'm on a set schedule. Bright, clean light and a good starter kit. I can definitely see myself getting more.

Great for setting up timers so lights are on at night when away from home. Very straight forward using app to configure.

Super easy to set up, easy to use after it. Plus, ifttt.com integrates with them so you can do all kinds of neat things!

I got the starter kit to play with home automation and lighting. I put it in my office just to practice with. I would do my whole house at the same time only the bulbs are expensive to do that with. It is certainly a great way to automate important lights, like ones that you want to have turn on and off at certain times, or ones that you want to use to make burglars think you're home.

Very useful starter kit specially if you have the hue go. You can just upgrade by buying other hue light products
