A great way to explore this technology

It will give you a great experience and the opportunity to see if you want to install Hue lighting throughout your home. Be warned, you will probably like it so much you will be buy the more expensive multi-colored Hue lights...it's addictive!

Ok if you are to new to Home Automation

And took less than an hour to realize how limited this system is. It can ONLY control lights. While that is obviously what it's made for, it only teased me for what HA can be. Then I broke one of the bulbs. Great. Now I have a system that only controls one bulb, at a cost of $80. It costs $40 to replace just 1 bulb. A better choice to buy a z-wave hub like a Smarthings, or a Wink for a $100. If all you want is to control light bulbs, add GE Link smart bulbs less $15 each. But with a hub, you control door locks, motion sensors, light switches, plug outlets, thermostats, etc. You will have a much more fulfilling experience.
