I bought 2 sensors to work with my Hues lights in the hallway. It was easy to install and set up on my Hues App. Initially, I had to adjust the motion sensitivity a few times to get it working correctly. I do not use daylight sensitivity since I want the motion sensor to turn on the lights regardless of the light. After that, the sensors have been working great!

Set this up in my bathroom since the light is a bit hard to find when you walk in. I also have a toddler who can't reach the switch so it helps with both.

These motion sensors are amazing, I have one on my stairs, bathroom, and closet. I just walk in and the lights turn on. You can set the setting any way you want, turn on any color or brightness, then dim after so long, then turn off after no activity for so many minutes. These are great. Now if I could only break my 20 year habit of flipping the light switch when I go in my closet.

This motion sensor is awesome for those with Hue lights. The response time is quick and you can adjust the sensitivity levels and darkness requirement before the lights turn on. I don't have a pet, but it seems to not have a pet setting but maybe you could decrease the sensitivity level to not have your pet trigger the lights. I'm a little sad that the motion sensor is not Apple HomeKit compatible so right now the sensor appears to be limited to just Philips Hue programming. Other than that, they are awesome! I have 2 of them now in my house.

If you have a lot of traffic in and out of your house especially kids that leave lights on. This is a must to have to program the lights shut off at a certain time. For example my kitchen light would never shut off now that I have the motion sensor after 5 minutes the lights were shut off. Great way to save money in the long run

I was able to snag this sensor when it was half off. After setting it up, there's no way I'd pay full price for it. It's pretty basic. It comes with a wall mount, which I used to attach to the basement wall. Then at night when my wife or I get home from work, the basement and kitchen lights will automatically turn on. At the discounted rate it's worth every penny. Only downside for me was that the batteries it came with died a day after setting it up. It was an easy fix though, and just required me to unscrew the back plate and add 2 new AAA batteries.

I like the motion sensor, it’s great for areas like the bathroom, kitchen or walk in closet, but it’s not cheap for what it does. Will it break the bank? No... but there are much cheaper options, only don’t work with hue.

Use this for turning on a Hue bulb in a closet. It works great in sun and dark rooms. The price is average for a motion detection device.

I've had the motion sensor for about three weeks and I have to say it is a very great piece of technology and give my few lights a very easy way to turn on and off without scheduling and IFTT recipes. I like that the unit itself is very small and can be mounted virtually anywhere and according to Phillips it should last over three months with daily use which is great.

Super easy set up with a hue bulb and hue bridge! I put this in our pantry for automatic light upon entry. It worked perfectly right away. Installation was simple and basic. The sensor did need updates after install but that was also quick and painless. We love it.

Got this on sale and added it to my bedroom. Works really well and actually had to adjust it to not go off when moving around in my sleep.
It has two settings which you can be set as a night light for evenings and full light for day time. And you can adjust how many minutes you want the light to stay on with no movement.
The only flaw I noticed so far is sometimes if you just want the light on in the room and not moving around, I have yet to figure out a way to temporarily disable this to not turn the lights off.

Philips motion sensor

I gave it a 2 only because Philips limits the functionality via the software section for the motion sensor. Be assure that the motion sensor works fine, it works consistently and accurately. My issue with it is that you can't use it as a trigger for the full functionality of the other Philips products. You are only allowed to use the functionality of the Motion sensor section of the Philips app. So for example: If you have the colour bulbs you can't trigger a specific colour with motion. You are also limited to 2 programmed actions that are organized as "Day" & "Night". Thats it, you can tell the light/lights to do one thing during the day and something different at night. It also isn't HomeKit enabled which means that you can't use it as a trigger for other HomeKit actions, at-least at the time of this revue. Since I couldn't set different action for my hallway lights like I intended I moved the sensor to my front porch to turn the lights on when someone approached the front door. I think that most of this is software updatable but with out any notices from Philips giving the intentions to do so I would not recommend it as of yet, unless you need it just to turn on/off a light as I do for my front porch.

The motion sensor is really easy to setup. It uses batteries so you don't have to plug it into an outlet. Its compact and stands straight on a flat surface so its easy to place almost anywhere. Only downside is that it can only be used to turn the lights on or off and vary the brightness manually or based on the time of day.

Highly recommended, installed in seconds and it never give me any kind of issues, there is no lag and its very useful for entryways. It can be annoying if you put in the living room since it will turn off the lights and then if you move turn them on again which if you are watching a movie is not good. But you can always change the settings.

Very convenient when walking around your house at night. You can schedule to work at certain night hours like when you wake up at the morning and it's still dark outside and want instant light to turn on making your walk easier. Battery lasts like forever and it has magnetic back to easy install. Highly recommended.
