I was worrying about the sensitivity after reading some reviews, but had no problems with that- it notices you quickly even in a full dark. What I would like to see is some more flexible choices of what happens after the light is turned on. Currently, the options are either to turn it off (after certain time of no motion which you can control, starting from 1 minute and up) or leave it on. However, you need to go back to the application every time you want to switch between these two options (keep light on or turn off when no motion). That means that if, e.g., you had light set to turn off after one minute of no motion, it will keep going off when you simply sit in the bedroom reading, unless you change the setting in the application to keep it on. Which means you have to carry the phone all the time with you, or have to think beforehead. This is quite inconvenient, especially if you have kids who walk in and out of the room and stay inside random amount of time. I wonder if they could have some button right on the sensor that would switch between the two no-motion options (off or on). Or increase no-motion sensitivity to even higher levels (that should be down to sensing someone breezing though).

I had these all over my house, so far have been very reliable, I sent them up once and no issues whatsoever, work every time.
Perhaps I would like these to be a little cheaper so I can buy even more...

If you have a Phillips hue system this accessory is a must. It takes the convenience of automated lighting to the next level with some simple programming in the app. I have mine configured so that when it is dark in the house after 11pm and motion is detected select lights turn on to a night light setting to make navigation in the middle of the night easy without having to use voice controls or the phone controls. When no motion is detected after 10 minutes the lights turn back off. It comes with a discrete magnetic mount that you can attach to walls with just one screw, I actually attached mine to a curtain rod using only the magnetic force and it hasn’t budged. They claim battery will last 2 years I believe, I’ve had mine up for a month now no issues. I gave it 4/5 stars because it would be nice to see more options on the app side for dialing in the sensor more. It seems as though sometimes the lighting threshold changes day to day. Sometimes it will turn off lights while I’m the in the room watching tv with limited motion, it would be nice if it detected more small motion.

Easy installation, automatic detection and control, will only work with HUE lights, I use it to indicate someone getting close to computer room when not in use, could be used for a variety of situations you want to know of movement in an area.

The Hue Motion Sensor is exactly what I needed. I do have a good bit of hue lights and needed a way to turn them on and off since using the app all the time isn't practical and being that bulbs are connected the light switches weren't always practical if you have a mixture of Hue and regular bulbs. With the motion sensor I can have the bulbs turn on when movement is detected and turn off after a set amount of time has passed with no motion. It also senses the amount of ambient light in the room, so if enough light is present, the lights will not turn on. You can have a schedule for daytime and for night time. These are great if you have hue bulbs and need some way of controlling them without a switch or the app.

Easy set up with the nest app. Minimal installation required, I have it set near the front door and it turns on the lights i have paired with it when i come home. I plan on getting more and setting them up in other areas of the house.

motion sensor works fantastic. I have it set in bedroom hallway to turn on lights for 2 minutes whenever it senses motion. I've had it for over 2 years and have replaced lithium battery once.

Definitely not the cheapest option, but works very well and as you would expect with the rest of the Philips Hue environment! An easy setup and does everything it describes well. I use it for bathroom lighting in the middle of the night.

I use this to trigger many objects outside the Hue ecosystem, such as Wemo and LIFX. Seems to work just fine. Can be set to be extremely sensitive to motion. Very satisfied.

The sensor was easy to setup and can have the sensitivity changed. While it’s not weatherproof, I’m using it under my backdoor overhang to turn the backdoor light, a Hue white only bulb, on when I get home at night.

An eye-closing experience! A late-night visit to the bathroom suddenly became a lot more tolerable. A traditional nightlight in the bathroom doesn't provide enough light. Flipping the light switch to turn on ALL of the bathroom lights is just too bright...especially when you want to go back to sleep. I decided to use the Philips Hue Motion Sensor in the hallway just outside of my bathroom and have it paired with a single bulb inside the bathroom. When I wake at 3am to use the toilet, the single bulb illuminates (at my chosen brightness level) as I pass through the hallway. The timer is set to turn the light off in 5 minutes. It's allowed me to see as needed at 3am and without completely shocking my eyeballs. Back to sleep nice and easy.
