I love this sensor! I have lights in my upstairs hallway that only have a switch at the top of the stairs, and I always forgot to turn them off when coming downstairs. Adding this motion sensor has made it WAY more convenient because I can set the lights to turn off a couple minutes after I’ve triggered the motion sensor walking up the stairs. Now I don’t have to worry about forgetting to turn off hose lights! I also love how it senses the amount of daylight so it won’t trigger if there is sufficient sunlight. An added bonus; it also senses the temperature of the room so I can get a more accurate reading of the temp throughout my home. Overall this is a great little device and has a lot of good functionality. Simple to set up and install.

I have 3 of them and all of them are mounted out sides. They are very sensitive for motions and work flawlessly. Easy installation and I wish it senses through glasses. Overall it’s a nice product.

I'm thrilled with the performance and flexibility of these devices. The embedded light sensor allows you to control what motion triggers in both lit and dim conditions via the app. Going to buy a few more. I had someone ask me a question, which at first surprised me then I realized that it might not be entirely obvious to everyone looking at these and comparing them to old-school motion detectors on lights - you can trigger lights and actions in places other than where the motion detector is physically located - since it's not physically tied to the lights in the room where it is placed. I know, seems obvious, but maybe not to some.

This sensor is great and you can set the sensitivity.

I love this little motion sensor for my Philips Hue set up. It's nice and small to be placed anywhere. I've had it for over a year and the battery level is still at 100%. This is nice to have to make your Philips Hue set up more flexible and more customizable. By using the Philips Hue app you can enhance your Hue experience. Did you know that there is also a built in thermometer in this motion sensor? It is not currently set to be used in home automation but after adding the motion sensor to my Apple HomeKit it showed that thermometer with the current room temperature. Hopefully in future firmware updates Philips will allow us to use the thermometer as a home automation sensor.

I bought two of these for my house and I have to say they are incredibly useful, when they work (which seems to be 95% of the time, but wow, does that 5% annoy you!). One controls a light in the entrance to our house so when we come home it turns right on for us, then off a minute later. Super useful when it's dark or if your hands are full. We set up another in our bedroom bathroom, that way when we stumble in at night it turns right on, nice and dim during the night, and bright during the day. The Hue app is pretty great for features, like what the sensor does, what light, what color, and how long it remains on. Again though, the one in our hallway maybe 1 out of every 10 times just wont turn the light on. Not sure if its the sensor, the Bridge, or what. Maybe I'll try removing the sensor and trying from scratch. Even so, amazing product, and super useful!

Most Philips Hue products are going to be both top notch in quality and performance and this is no exception. There are a few 'wants' like I wish it mounted a little more flush to the wall, I wish it could activate a light instead of a set or room (maybe it does but haven't found it yet). But all in all this is a fantastic unit that tightly integrates into your Hue system. I have mine setup in the downstairs hallway so when coming down the stairs it activates. At first I set it to 1 min then off to save on bulb life, elect costs etc, but found it more beneficial and convenient to set it for a 5 min shutoff.

The sensor works better than I expected and does more than I thought. Tells you how much battery is left, what the temperature is and you can also adjust the sensitivity of it. Will be buying more

These Hue motion sensors are addictive - once you get one, you want more! Using Hue bridge and its app, these things setup in a minute and work consistently. I've had no issues with the first two ...

This motion sensor works every time. It was easy to mount, easy to setup, and makes my entire living room always have the right amount of light due to the ability to set the sensitivity and time it stays on.

Work well if you have a Hue bridge. Easy set up. No wires. The motion sensor comes with a magnetic mount so you can easily install and move the sensor. Or you can just place it on a counter or shelf.

Nice addition to a smart home system. Very reliable and has many ways to set its sensitivity.

We have this set up in our stairwell. During the day it turns the lights on full so nobody needs to try to flip the switch while carrying things downstairs. Lights are then programmed to turn back off after a few minutes. At night, it lights up the stairs at about 10% brightness in case the kids wake up at night. They stay safe and lights don't get left on all night. Battery life on the sensor has been very good. I think I changed the batteries once in the last year, and probably didn't need to but was already changing batteries in everything else.

This works just great with the Philips Hue Hub V2 and Color or White Lights. The response to motion and turning on the lights is instantaneous and you can configure motion and light sensitivity.
