If you have a Philips Hue LED bulbs in your house this makes the perfect accessory. Put this by the main entrance and you have instant lighting for your Hue bulbs. No need to use the app every time.

I love the little puck. I really love being able to adjust the lights with it. I especially love being able to turn off your light from bed.

Really helps make the Phillips hue lights more user friendly. For the price though it should come with two or just included in the starter pack

    Tap works great, no batteries

No batteries required! Zigbee Green means this will communicate with the Hub without the need of batteries. It takes a while to get used to having to fully push the button in. I have mine set up with button 1 (the big one) being an All-Off button. Button 2 is for my dining room. Button 3 is all 3 lights in the bathroom (lux lights), and button 4 does my bedroom. No issues. Just make sure you press hard enough and verify that nothing is stuck down or you'll have to re-add it through the app once it sits on for too long.

Thus clever switch pairs seamlessly with the hue bridge using the app and then you're in business. Somehow the switch doesn't even need a battery to work, so it's a great controller for your hue bulbs without having to use the app. Note that the app is still needed if you want to create a scene or dim the lights. The switch allows you to turn lights on and off and activate 3 scenes you can select from within the app.

I like the idea of this for when you want to quickly pull up a preset color or turn it off without having to access the app. It's also great for the guest to use if they don't have the app installed on their smart phone. I do have a few problems from time to time because of the distance I have the switch from the hub. It's a nominal problem that I can probably quickly resolving by moving some things around. All in all, it's great to have a way to quickly turn on and off the lights without having to grab your phone and calling up the app.

Pros: - Allows you to program 4 lighting schemes and switch between them easily. - Does not require batteries - Controller can be removed from wall-mount dock Cons: - Pushing the buttons is a bit "clunky" since you need to push hard enough to power the device. - No dedicated on/off button. You must use one of the four buttons to turn the lights off, leaving you with 3 buttons for lighting schemes - No dimmer functionality. It would be nice to have lighter/darker buttons like they have on the other remote.

Convenient way to control lights without my phone

I love my Hue lights, but found it inconvenient on occasion only being able to use my phone to switch them on/off. This switch is a very handy way to quickly interact with them as I enter/leave my bedroom. Also the fact that it runs on kinetic energy definitely helps. There are so many things to charge these days, it's nice not having to add another one to the list. Highly recommended for any Hue user!

This is a must have to go with the Hue Lighting system. Makes it so much easier to turn lights on and off or 3 preset configuration, than getting your phone out every time.

I put off purchasing this for a long time before buying. I got it since controlling lights via phone is just not a viable option when living with multiple people. It put it up and now I plan to buy several more. Certain apps allow you to preload multiple presets to each button. I have primary lights and off on the big button, a full brightness turning on other lights and brightening the room more on another, and night time colorful options on the other 2. Such a nice device.

While this is cool to mount on the wall and it detaches easily to move from room to room, it only has four buttons and doesn't do anything your app doesn't. This is only really good for one room that you have 4 settings you really want to use most, otherwise it's not necessary or worth it. Having said that, it doesn't require batteries!

I purchased this to turn off and on my lights when I couldn't use the voice feature with Alexa. I've since fixed that, but I still use the Tap by my bed to set scenes and turn off the lights when Alexa misbehaves. Definitely worth buying, though a bit expensive. And somehow it magically works without batteries... Haven't figured that one out yet.

After two bulbs burned out in my bathroom in two days, I decided to replace them all with Hue bulbs. I got this switch to use for those times when you don’t wanna use your voice or open up your phone. Works as expected. Stopped working one evening, but ended up fixing itself, so that must’ve just been a temporary communication issue.

Simple to set up, and now I can access four scenes without phone or computer. Sometimes it does take two presses to work, but overall really nice.
