    Really cool, no batteries!

This uses kinetic energy from you clicking it to work, so you don't need any batteries! My recommendation is to use HomeKit to configure your scenes, as you'll have more options than the Hue app. These are great to place next to your physical switches for when you don't feel like speaking the command.

I like the flexibility and convenience of this switch. The ability to control separate scenes (and/or OFF) is really helpful when I don't want to dig out my phone and find apps to do it. My only complaint about it is that it requires more of a press/click than a "tap" as the name suggests (I suppose this is due to the need to generate the kinetic energy to run it). I plan to buy more of these in the future!

The tap switch is definitely useful for times when you walk into a room and don't feel like, or have the time to, pull your phone out and control the lights with your app. The switches are easy to setup and easy to use. The best part is there are no batteries, so you don't ever have to worry about changing them. Awesome!

This was very easy to setup. You can set each button to different scene or to turn the lights off. My only complaint is that you cant set any of the buttons to toggle between off and on. You have to have a separate button dedicated for off, which was very disappointing.

Its nice to not have to open an app all the time, just to turn on and off the lights. And its cool the way it uses kinetic energy instead of batteries. Only negative is that I read that it only last for a certain amount of "pushes", then you'll have to get a new one. But it should last long enough So far, no complaints here.

If you have Hue get the tap. That way you aren't reaching for your phone everytime you want to turn off the lights.

Most useful when synced with HomeKit

The power of the Tap switch is amplified when synced with HomeKit because the switch can control any scene or device on your Home platform. For example, my Goodnight scene turns off every light and fan downstairs. I assigned this scene to the “one dot” switch. A single press turns off Hue lights, lights and fans controlled by Lutron switches, and lowers Serena shades. Amazing! And you still have 3 more switches to program! See “How to configure Hue dimmer switches for HomeKit” at LinkdHOME.com for more info. I would have rated the product 5 stars if the installation guide had given me the info I just gave you.

    Nice Complement to Hue System

After switching a large number of conventional bulbs to Hue bulbs, I noticed an issue: not everyone who comes to my house knows how it operates. Everyone is used to normal light switches, but I would often come home to find many of my Hue lights without power because, for example, the babysitter needed to turn off the lights and found a way to do it. Enter the Hue Tap. It looks similar enough to a light switch that even someone unfamiliar with the system would understand its basic use. I put in two of these units where a physical toggle was good to have. Response time is fast, and I love the fact that it generates its own power from the act of pressing it. It looks nice and unobtrusive. I'm not crazy about the price tag, but it was worth it for the two places I deployed them.
