After probably 15-20 years with the previous Norelco, I finally got a replacement. After a month, I still like this one. It provides a close shave that goes over contours well. I like how easy it is to remove the head and clean it under the faucet. The charge has also lasted a month.

I had the S9000 and loved the way it shaved but I could not justify the price since all you get is a razor and a nice case. Plus the Qi charging is SLOW. And without a cleaning base, you had to pop the blades off every day to clean, which according to reviews on Amazon, led to the blades coming loose and popping off during a shave(Best Buy need to allow updating of your initial review). So I decided to try this one, since it was over $100 cheaper and had a cleaning base. It shaved really well and surprisingly, it was pretty close to the S9000 for closeness. Plus it came with a nice cleaning base that allows for a proper cleaning AND lubricating, after every shave. Only real issue is it is all plastic, which while being light, makes it feels cheap. I then found out that the SP98 blades(S9000 blades) fit the 9000 series(and some other older models too), so I ordered a set of those abnd put them on the 9311. I now get the same shave as I was getting with the S9000 and a cleaning base, all for less money than the S9000 Qi. If Philips is listening, you need to make an S9000 WITH a cleaning base(and just stick with the corded S9000 model). THAT would be the ultimate razor.

I love it and was excited to receive it ! Its quiet , 3 speeds and gives me a smooth shave ! I also love that you can dry or wet shave with it .

ok, finally needed to break down and get a shave that i can use in the shower, which is where i actually shave, or shave dry at the sink if not in the shower. This razor self cleans and then dries, stunning. The heads are expected to last about a year at around $50 to replace. The 3-pack of cleaning solution that i already ordered was $10. The shave itself is quite an improvement over the old shaver. The instructions say that I must wait 21 days for my face to adjust, but so far, no issues. Comes with a side burn edge attachment and a traveling case.

I have used Norelco products as far back as the 60's. The 9311 delivers a very clean smooth shave. In addition to the face and neck, I am totally bald and use it to shave my head with outstanding results whether it is a wet or dry shave. I appreciate the options for personal settings as the contours areas shaved are varied as is the growth and coarseness of the hair itself. Once again, the quality of the shave is excellent. Running it through the cleaning system after each use contributes to the quality of the shave. As I said, I cover a lot of varied area and have gotten consistent results.

First electric razor I’ve had that actually cuts the hairs on my face. Electric razors I’ve had in the past always felt like they were pulling the hairs out, leaving me with worse shaving bumps than using an actual blade. This razor will cut thru a weekend growth with ease, doesn’t irritate my skin and is easy to empty/clean. Doesn’t cut as close a blade will but the convenience is well worth the early “5 o’clock shadow”. All in all I’m pleased with it and will continue to use.

The new razor head produces a close shave. The cleaning system saves time and is very convenient to use. The interchangeable trimmer is not as convenient as the older style.

I've had Norelco shavers for the last 25 years. This one is good. I haven't tried the cleaning base yet. I also have another device to do minor trimming so, I also haven't tried using the trimmer attachment. As far as daily shaving it is pretty good. But, I wouldn't say it is any better or worse than any of the earlier models I've used.

I have owned three different electric shavers and this by far has been the best one. I have a course beard and other razors have left stubble which I then have to go back and touch up with a hand held. I have not had to do this once since I purchased this shaver.

I have owned other philips shavers in the past so stayed with the brand. I was surprised that this model seems to be a lot better quality than the less expensive models. It is very quiet and seems very powerful. My first couple of shaves have been comfortable and close than the one it replaced even though the old one had new blades. Haven't used the cleaning system yet so not sure about it. Only negative i see so far is you have to be careful about not tilting the cleaning base or it may spill. Should be better sealed to prevent that.

Shave quality even on my multidirectional facial hair and neck hair is excellent. Cleaning/charging station works great. Very quiet operation for all.

I’ve only used this razor 5 times. So far it works very well. I wouldn’t say it works a whole lot better than my previous $50 razor however. It seems to be way overpriced in my opinion. The cleaning station is a big plus. It’s nice to just drop it in after shaving and forget about it until next time. I would not recommend this product to the budget conscious shopper as the same level can be achieved with a much cheaper product.

After many years of out of date electric shaver use and Gillette Fusion blades decided to stop throwing money away on blades. This shaver does it all. Wet/Dry, with or without shaving foam and still gets a close shave every time. The cleaning and charge base makes shaving even better. The flex head contours smoothly on all the angles to make shaving something I look forward to every morning.

This stuff worth $500+ in my country. The quality is so good, quiet, and comes with a cleaning machine which is absolutely amazing

Gives a really quick shave, battery lasts a long time. The cleaning system is okay but an unnecessary gimmick in my view. I prefer the old "flip top" way of rinsing out shaved whiskers so I can see it's clean, but it seems that just holding it under running water works okay. Would prefer a built in trimmer rather than a separate trimmer head, but again, it works okay. Overall a good shaver, but I'd be hard pressed to pay this much for one again as it is only incrementally better than the old one it replaced that cost much less.

This Philips Norelco shaver is absolutely wonderful. The shaver glides smooth across my face without ripping out facial hairs. This unit is very quiet. It shaves closer where I need it to than previous shavers. All the reviews I read before this purchase said to get the foil raser but I took a chance and bought this one and I’m glad I did. Please follow directions on how to use it and you will be impressed. Very happy with this purchase so far.
