I was planning to replace my old Norelco SpeedXL 8140 with this new fancy version. Frankly I was disappointed, I feel as though Philips has not made any large improvements and in fact made these newer models more likely to break. If you want to use the trimmer, you have to remove the trihead shaver and then snap on the trimmer instead of it being built-in like my older model which isn't much larger. Aside from that, the shave wasn't anything to write home about compared to my older model. Maybe it saved a couple passthroughs. I just ended up returning it and replacing the shaver blades in my old model. I did give the 9300 a break in period of around two weeks as well, but it just didn't justify the price tag. It does look aesthetically pleasing, come with a carrying case, and a fancy cleaner dock. However, in regards to the dock, it just comes off as more bathroom sink clutter rather than utility. If you have an old reliable shaver and were looking to upgrade, I'd say just hold on to what you got.

It shaves evenly. I like that. It is great for a quick shave. After you use it for a few months, your face gets use to it. It does not shave as close as my Braun or Remington foil shavers. It is quiet. I had one 20 years ago that I took camping. Just as quiet. This is my last rotary razor. I get the same issue. It just doesn’t shave close after 3 months.

This thing motors through stubble and shaves as close as a blade razor. Extremely quiet too...

I owed different electric shavers in the past because I was cheap I would buy one of those that would cost around $50, I can tell you this is a different game. I invested into this because I was mad that other shavers just could not complete the job easily (always needed to use razor blade after) and all others were not that easy to clean. This one comes with a cleaning tool/device! it is expensive, but it is worth it!

This was purchased for my son for a Christmas present. He has always used this type of shaver and I have always purchased them at Best BUY. It was a good experience. The service person was very helpful in helping me with the purchase.

I've been a fan of Norelco razors for a long time. As a result, I've tried them all. They continually improve on the quality of the shave and the products. I clean mine daily, so stock up on the cleaning solution. Expert Hint: If you are looking to buy one, this model has the same heads and all the features of the most expensive 9700 model. There are a couple of cosmetic differences, like the digital readout on the razor and on the cleaning device, but you won't miss them and you will save some $$$.

Purchased this electric razor for my husband. He says best shave ever. And so easy to maintain with automatic cleaning system.

Philip’s Norelco shaver is very user friendly. It can bd used either wet or dry.

No issues using this shaver and the cleaning base works great! Always use the base to keep the shaver running like new. Don't forget to pick up replacements for the base.

My husband loves this razor. The heads do a great job of getting a close shave and the cleaning system is a real bonus.

Bought this razor because I have heard great things about it. Unfortunately my wife found it too..... Now a fight ensues every morning for "first go at the razor" guess i need to buy another ....

I had stopped using an electric shaver for almost 35 years thinking I preferred to use a standard razor system. Since I've restarted using an electric shaver, it's been amazing. Electric shavers shave closer than my blade razor, it's quick, not messy, and I can be doing other things while shaving. Totally worth the price.

Close shave, contours to face and easy clean up, I would recommend this product.
