Grooming products can be highly individualized to a person’s needs and preference. A few years ago I decided to try the Philips 7000 trimmer because it offered a large selection of head attachments, and seemed heavy duty. I wasn’t disappointed at all. The battery life was great, it had a little travel pouch that held all the parts, and had the trimmer tools and flexibility for my needs. Fast forward to now with the 9000 Multigroom trimmer. It has all the heavy duty and battery robustness of the 7000 with even more options for grooming. Some notable additions include two guards that offer a dialing length adjustment so that you can have precision beard length, more options for body hair trimming, and instead of the pouch that the 7000 included, it has a hard sided case that holds all the pieces so it’s even easy to travel with. The body of the 9000 is similar to the 7000 in that it has a stainless steel shell, but the rubberized grips and accents to hold it comfortably feel more contoured. So it has an even more premium feel. It is as quiet a motor as the 7000, which I always appreciated with that model as well. Overall I would highly recommend the 9000 Multigroom to anyone looking for a high quality and versatile trimmer. It’s not inexpensive, but it will last you a long time, and likely save you money long term.

Some of us have to contend with body hair where we may not desire it to be. For me, it’s arm hair that shrouds my tattoos that adorn both of them. And then there’s the occasional nose hair that will protrude from my nostril.
Shaving the arm air with a razor is tedious and sometimes misses spots, and I can’t use a laser hair-removing device because that will damage the ink. And I’ve attempted plucking the nose hair(s) but that’s a painful effort that I am not willing to commit to.
I went with the Philips Norelco Multigroom 9000 because it has other grooming options that I may explore down the road.
It’s Waterproof:
My previous shaver wasn’t allowed in the shower which was inconvenient. I used the Norelco 9000 on my arms in the shower and it was a smooth experience. And when I say it was a smooth experience, I mean it. Normally, when I have used other shavers on my arms, there’s redness and faint traces of irritation from the bare blades. With the 9000, I didn’t see any irritations whatsoever. Also, I didn’t have to re-shave. It got each hair on the first go. I also decided to groom my chest (which I do occasionally). Again, fantastic trimming without issues.
The NetherRealm:
A lot of us prefer to be well groomed in areas that are rather ‘sensitive’. I’ve tried using standard grooming shavers down there only to be wincing as I cursed into the void. And I dare not attempt a standard razor to groom the forbidden forest because I just don’t trust myself to have a steady hand.
So, I attached the bodyguard over the blades (the 3mm option). I am happy to report that there weren’t any sudden “catches”.
Haircuts:
The Norelco 9000 comes with a wide variety of attachments that allow you to precisely trim your beard, sideburns, and mustache. Maybe one day I will be able to grow a beard worthy enough to be trimmed.
However, having the options with the various hair guards will allow me to trim my unruly hair when I can’t get to a barber/stylist. Or I can have a friend do the trimmings since the guards are foolproof.
Whatever your hairstyle may be, I am pretty sure the 9000 has an attachment for it.
There are also attachments for eyebrow grooming and nose/ear trimming.
Maintenance:
The Norelco 9000 is easy to clean. Whether in the shower or the sink. It’s just easy. Switching out the blade heads and guard attachments is just as simple as well. No need to apply awkward pressure when changing heads. Just fit and snap.
I’m enjoying the Norelco 9000 immensely in the few days that I have used it. It’s a quality device that I foresee being around for a while.

With this one trimmer, I can almost replace the three different trimmers I was using. Grooming tools today need to satisfy a range range of use cases, everything from trimming beard hair and eyebrows to edging around ears or necklines and grooming body hair in various nooks and crannies. Due to that wide variety of use cases, I was employing three different trimmers, each of which was optimized for one or two of those uses. This one has a few different attachments that can help optimize its function toward specific uses. It also has different guards that clip on those attachments to leave the right length of hair behind. There are two different multi-length guards for the medium-sized clippers, which IMO are optimized for trimming facial hair. I only need to use the longer one, but I can imagine that if you kept your facial hair closer to stubble-length, you might use the shorter one. The teeth (or comb) on the guard are more closely spaced, making it much more comfortable than my last beard trimmer. It also does a better job of lifting the hair into the clippers, meaning it requires fewer passes over the same area to ensure an even length. This trimmer is also much more effective at trimming moustache hair. This would almost be worth using just for that improvement alone. The different clippers are fairly easy to snap on and off, which also makes it easier to clean the clippers. There are no hidden areas for hair trimmings to collect, and no tools required to get to those areas for cleaning. Neither is there any oiling required. All-in-all, this is a great tool for grooming hair to various lengths in varying places.

Great product for men who love their beards. Tons of attachments for any need, but as a novice it is more than I need, but appreciate everything it can do.

Nice hand feel and easy to use as it does not take much pressure to get precise lines and angles. Interchangeable heads are nice and they pop off very easily. Thoughtful product that is a bit pricey but got on discount. Quality brand as well.

This is one of the best trimmers I've used. Only one issue is that I wish there were more settings in the beard trimmer, but overall I think it's a small issue.

I bought it for my husband's birthday, it really looks different, his skin is very soft after each shave. I think it's the best gift I've ever given him.

This trimmer has a ton of accessories and it is everything that I was looking for in a beard/hair trimmer. The caveat is that there's no charging brick. So you spend $100 on a trimmer and the manufacturer can't put in a .50 cent solution to the product. So now the consumer has to go digging to find and repurpose a charging brick. The trimmer itself deserves 5 stars, just to be clear, but these companies need to know that this is not okay.
If there was a proprietary charging cable with this and they just snipped the plug off at the end everyone would be up in arms, but because it's USB this is magically acceptable. It was fine to stop putting the bricks in with things for about 2 years so that everyone could catch up, but now everyone has caught up and there aren't extras laying around the house and when you open up a brand new package at home and realize that you don't have a charging brick for it and now you have to drive 40 miles back to the store to pick one up that's just ridiculous. I spent more money on gas picking this up than what the brick is worth
