The tip is not tapered enough to cleanly fit the spaces between teeth. The force of the spray is very strong. The result is a lot of backspray even when you attempted to keep your lips tightly closed.

without affecting the function. You can try both options and use what works best for you in your oral care routine. You can also change the burst modes to have the desired amounts of bursts
each time you press the activation button. To change modes, press the power/mode button to cycle through the modes until you reach your desired mode. 1 LED flashing indicates the lowest amount of bursts. Bought this in December, had to get a warranty replacement in February. That one worked until June. Things got busy, but eventually got another warranty replacement in September. THEY ALL BREAK VERY QUICKLY. Philips customer service is abysmal - foreign-based, rude, barely speak English, and all they want to do is tell you you can't get a refund, just want to ship you another replacement -- which is no good because the product is AWFUL!! DO NOT BUY!!!!
