My wife and I have owned a previous Sonicare model. We loved the older model; however, we like the new model even better. The charging cradle is a great feature and easy to keep clean. Hard sided travel case is a good improvement vs. the old soft side bag version. Sonicare should still should provide storage for travel power adopter for long trips.

This toothbrush leaves a whole new definition of clean. As a long time fan of Sonicare, I have trusted this brand and the new diamond clean standard is just that a new standard. The diamond clean standard leaves teeth whiter than ever before, cleans off all plaque, and leaves a fresh feeling. I urge people to try this brush before any other on the market.

Generally it's better than the 2nd generation of sonicare clean, although it's way more expensive. But you'll find it's worth it. I like the sensitive and gum care mode best.

I personally don't think this is worth the money. It's pretty and fancy. Yes it's a little better than a cheapie electric toothbrush but not by much. I liked the charging cup that came with it and the timer on it. Warning if you have fillings, I could feel it shaking my fillings in my mouth-really gross creepy feeling and I worried that overtime it would loosen them, so I returned it.

I was very hesitant to spend so much money on a toothbrush (I think most people are) but it really outdoes the steep price. I could tell after only one use that this was a keeper. I am being completely honest when I say it felt like I had just left the dentist after one 2 minute brushing. I love how simple it is to use. The toothbrush has 30 second intervals to remind you to clean each quadrant of your mouth. I find myself spending less time brushing with far greater results. I highly recommend at least trying this toothbrush out and seeing the amazing results. Even if you can't swallow the price tag, it will help you understand what you're missing. Plus, Best Buy doesn't have a restocking fee so there's no risk

Easy to use. Black color is just awesome to look at. Charging cup is so convenient - would have never appreciated that before the purchase. Love this toothbrush. Ultimately does what it is supposed to do very well - my teeth are quickly very clean every day. Better than the Philips Flexcare Plus unit I owned previously.

I purchased this item right after Christmas. It was about $180. I really like the color and the glass cup charger. I don't really use all the functions on their just the cleaning option, didn't see much different on the other options. Just about all the electric toothbrushes have a timer which I personally like.

I love my Sonic Diamond Clean toothbrush. It's easy to use. With my 1st use my teeth have never felt so clean.

2nd sonicare I have owned. The first only died of old age! As long as you put the time in to get used to the feeling, it does an exceptional job of keeping your teeth clean between dental visits. It truly is a dentist clean feeling

Bought this to replace an older, more basic model that I loved, and I'm very happy with it. It has many settings to choose and the battery lasts a long time. The charging travel case is also nice. Only complaint is that the charging cup is kind of awkward on the counter, I prefer the old base.

OVERALL: Knocks off the plaque, for a nice whitening clean. Overall the unit is well made, and is probably the best feeling/looking sonicare I have owned. The diamond care brush is not a cheap buy, but I feel like the longer term benefits are worth it. The cleaning is very thorough. BATTERY LIFE: Had it for 1.5 months, and I have only actually charged it 2-3 times. So far so good. You could easily charge this up, and take it on a trip for a week with no worries about charging. Additionally there is a cool charging case, with usb. CHANGING THE MODE: *My one complaint about the unit is that the different modes are illuminated along the spine of the handle. In order to visually see which mode you are on, you need to power on, and toggle through the many modes (Clean, whitening, polishing, etc). The issue with this is that you would need to do this before you get the brush wet, or apply toothpaste, or you'll get a face full of it while you are toggling.

while I used previously other philips sonicare models, and they lasted a while, I looked for something newer and when I read the reviews I knew that I wanted to try this model. I bought the pink one because it was on sale for $206 as opposed to the white or the black which were still $220.. so I got it recently and the first day you have to charge it for 24 hours before you can use it. Upon charging it for about 18 hours i decided to try it and used it. It did a good job and the movement of the bristles and the brush itself was fast and silent or at least more quiet than the previous model. I am so far happy with this purchase and one thing I am not sure about is how it is charging while being placed in the cup and connected to a plug. I don't like that the brush is sitting horizontally and wonder whether i should dry the brush before placing it in this cup. It can also be charged while in the pink container and connected to a power outlet. Overall I am happy with it and so far so good.

I purchased this toothbrush as a upgrade to my aging FlexCare Platinum model which was approaching 8 years old. While the diamond black is a bit on the pricey side, it is certainly worth the money. My teeth feel like they have been professionally cleaned each time I brush them. I love the glass cup that can be used to rinse and well as charge my toothbrush. I have owned the diamond black for approximately 3 months and I am 100% satisfied with it.

I decided to get the Amethyst Diamond Clean tooth brush after my Black model failed after 3 years. It comes with the main handle, one glass holder, one mains charger, one travel case with usb cable and 3 brush heads. It cleans teeth very well, it is very powerful. However the one quirk is that the same button to turn the brush on and off also happens to be the same button to cycle through the different modes so this can get quite annoying. Also the battery indicator always displays a full green bar, until it runs out of charge and then it goes straight to an orange flashing bar which means you can't use it until giving it a full charge. (You could give it just 15-20 minutes if you want to) I like the glass charger that is a nice touch. Other comment is that the Amethyst model doesn't have matching heads, plus the black heads are pretty difficult to find so you will end up with a white toothbrush head which looks kind of odd! I also use to own a Philips Sonicare FlexCare Platinum with UV which is the only other alternative I would consider to this in terms of build quality and cleaning effectiveness. This toothbrush is a bit loud and wakes my baby up sometimes!

The tooth brush leaves your teeth very clean. it is enjoyable to use. It has a timer so you can get the most out of every brushing

Overall this sonicare toothbrush is well worth the cost. Love the color. Holds charge well, came with an easy to use travel case/charger as well as easy to use charge station. Provides a more clean feeling compared to a manual toothbrush and offers multiple settings for various modes of cleaning based on your choice.

Really great brush that is very easy to keep clean and charged. The different settings can be confusing and it is very pricey.
