My wife is a dental hygienist and noted that, even though I was known to be a very good brusher, I still had build up of tartar, plaque and stain that she would have to scrape off every 6 months. I bought a 2 pack of these years ago someplace and now get great brushing reviews at every cleaning. I am a daily coffee drinker and the stains are no longer a problem. Tartar and plaque are near non existent. I'm on my 3rd one. I found you can get these to last 4 - 5 years. After the charge gets to where it only lasts for 4 or so days I keep it on the charger continuously and have been able to stretch it easily another year or so beyond that. You'll know when it's no longer able to hold a charge. That's the time to replace it if you're a value oriented guy like me. (although my wife just say's I'm "cheap").

This toothbrush is excellent. I bought one from Best Buy last year and just bought two more from Best Buy to give as Christmas gifts this year. I always thought they pushed this toothbrush on me at the dentist to make money, but I finally decided to get one and boy does it work. My teeth feel much cleaner after brushing with Sonicare than with a manual brush. The price is right too. You can get it at almost any retailer but I choose BB because I get 5% off, free shipping, and can use rewards. I'm sure the higher end models of the Sonicare line may be even better than this one, but for the price, I think it's an excellent investment as oral health is of utmost importance.

I have used different electric toothbrushes and have to say this is one of the best. The battery last for a couple of weeks without having to be recharged. I feel a difference in the cleanliness of my teeth using the electric toothbrush vs a traditional toothbrush. I also appreciate the timer on the brush that automatically shuts the toothbrush off. I had definitely not been brushing my teeth long enough all these years. The price is great and the replacement heads are really reasonable too.

This thing is a rocket ship, I love it… I finally caved in and decided to buy a real power toothbrush instead of the cheap battery powered ones. There is a noticeable cleaning difference after brushing…the battery life is great, more than a week between charges, and it has a run cycle so keep brushing until it shuts off.

This toothbrush is very good. it cleans very well but it is noisy...It is a good price and works efficiently.

I've been a Sonicare user for years. A terrific product that changes the way you brush, and certainly brightens your smile. My dentist raves about the condition of my teeth and gums. Bought this one for my son, as I think everyone should use one.

We had the same toothbrush before and our stopped working after about 7-8 years, so a great product. We loved it so much that we looked for exact one so we wouldn't have to change. Not a bad price to last that long!

Easily the best toothbrush I ever owned. It fits nice in my hand, it's fast and turns off automatically after dentist approved 2 minutes of brushing. I love it.

Bought the "entry level" model and it delivers the goods that Sonicare is famous for. Well worth the $$. Helps to take care of teeth that have been subjected to the Standard American Diet.

its fantastic, feels strange at first, but once you get used to it it really does give you the feeling of just having a cleaning at the dentists office. A word of advice though, put it in your mouth before you turn it on, or you'll get toothpaste everywhere

A great toothbrush for a awesome price & keeping your teeth clean is a must. This toothbrush has become clearance take advantage instead of spending $100 on toothbrushes or buying cheap ones. A must buy for everyone.

Decent price for an electric toothbrush you will use every day. Sonicare is the recommended-by-dentists brand, and I have had several over the years. They are dependable and work very well. Although not as fancy with less features as other Sonicare models, I can't see spending $100 or more for a bells-and-whistles toothbrush, so those this model which is similar to those I have used in the past.

I bought this toothbrush for my grandma, who is 83 and really needs to care for her teeth. She has always had a nice smile, and asked me for an electric toothbrush that would be durable. I have a sonic care myself, and it completely reversed my gum disease, so I figured why not look for a lower cost version for her? This was perfect. She has done nothing but rave about the long battery life and power of the brush. One charge lasts her over a week. I would recommend for the budget conscious person :D

The Phillips Sonicare electric toothbrush is superior at cleaning teeth surfaces and spaces. I have not tried them all, but I have used other brands, and their product gets the job done, and, better than a manual brush, in my experience. I have found that the handle battery may operate inconsistently, and I have exchanged handles previously, but the Phillips customer service is very effective and responsive. Great toothbrush!

This is my first purchase of an electric toothbrush. I have only owned it for a few weeks but it seems to work well. My teeth feel like I've just left the dental hygienist after using it. The two minute timer is a great feature.

Despite being on the lower end, The Sonicare Essence sonic toothbrush does a great job cleaning! My teeth have never felt so clean and smooth in only one week! Used in conjunction with a new Waterpik, i already notice the difference in whiteness and gum health in only one week!
