I had to use a regular toothbrush for about a week and will never do that again. The Sonicare gets your teeth so clean. Regular toothbrush doesn't feel nearly as good. We bought this one because we could hook it up to an app. The app is good at the beginning just to get use to time and brushing , after that kind of a waste. I would definately get another Sonicare, but not necessary to have app to go with it.
