I have been using a Sonicare HX6921/04 for 4 solid years, it is the model with the vibration options and the second button to switch the options, it lasted so long that I figured the battery would eventually fail. Even after 4 years of use it is still functioning and the battery still lasts and charges almost as well as the day I bought it. I decided to buy a new Sonicare because of being impressed with the long lasting lithium battery. I Bought this as a replacement since this model also has a rechargeable lithium battery, and I was surprised to find that it is more difficult to use than my previous Sonicare, this is because it also has several operating modes, except only one button. This means that when the power button is pressed to turn it on, it cannot be pressed once again to turn it off, it is necessary to press the power button several times, and the one button cycles through the several operating modes, then after the 4th press it finally turns off. That sucked to find out after having bought it. This Sonicare toothbrush would have been a better design, if it would have been designed to first turn it on then to choose the operating mode desired, then after it had been running for 10 seconds on any given mode, then it would turn off if the power button was pressed once again, this is not the case. This makes using it a hassle, the Sonicare toothbrush that I used previously had a dedicated power button, one press on, one press off, way easier, then it had a second button if desiring to change to another operating mode. The power button on this model is a bit harder to press than my previous Sonicare also, making the one button with varying operating modes even worse. I would much prefer a model without the extra operating modes, as the entire time I owned and used the deluxe model having multiple operating modes, I only used the one standard mode turned on and off by the power button.

Having had hand surgery, it is very important to have a toothbrush that is easy to handle. This one meets that need.
