I've been brewing for over 2 decades and I LOVE my Pico. LOVE it. I have a 20G HERMS system and really the only difference in the process between my Pico and my traditional homebrewing system is that the Pico takes all of the drudgery out of brewing. And yes, the beer is absolutely fantastic. It is every bit as good as what I make on my larger system.
With my Pico I can be brewing my next 5L keg of something great in minutes. Add to that the ability to brew some PicoPaks from some great breweries that I've never had a chance to try and I'm sold. I have no excuses to buy beer commercially if I don't want to. On top of that I can make some really delicious Lager's without regard to cooling since I can throw the the 1.75G Pico Keg into just about any fridge or use the included Fast Fermentation Adapter to ferment at room temp.
I moved to 5L mini-kegs many years ago before I moved to a full-on kegging system so I love the idea of cranking out a bunch of 5L kegs for entertaining or bringing to the cabin. I love the idea that I will be able to submit my recipes to be made into PicoPaks and buy a couple to try out.
Most of all it's just plain fun and at the end of the day that's what brewing is all about for me. The Pico is just too much fun to pass up.

BEST HOMEBREWING MACHINE AND SUPPORT!

The Pico is not the first time I’ve brewed beer. I use to do homebrews, but I don’t have space now, and I hated all the clean-up. That’s why I loved the idea of this product. Other machines like this didn’t have all the pieces together that make this such great product.
I’ve just finished brewing my fifth batch of beer, and I’m counting down the days to when I can drink my fresh brew. So far the all the batches have tasted great. I’m looking forward to trying a bunch of the new beers in the Brew Market Place.
Their support is top notch. If you have any question about the machine or the kits they, answer back very quickly. I needed some help, so I sent an email to their support team on Thanksgiving day, and I got a reply from one of their support people. I didn't think would hear from them until the next week.
I would suggest this product for anyone who wants to homebrew without all the mess. It’s almost as easy as using a k-cup in a coffee machine.

INCREDIBLE HOMEBREW

I have already brewed three batches of beer with the Pico. I've been making small-batch homebrew beer for several years, but this little Pico produces the best beer I've ever brewed! It is quicker to brew and quicker to clean up than any other process I've tried. But the most amazing thing is that I'm now drinking beer from breweries around the world without having to travel long-distances to get them or convince my local bottle shop to find and carry them.
The small batches and the mini-keg serving system make it wonderfully easy to finish the beer and serve it without having to deal with the hassle of bottling. This also allows you to pour different size glasses for different occasions or needs -- you're not stuck with a Bomber that has a few ounces left or a pint glass that's not really full.
I love my Pico and have already ordered more PicoPaks so that I can have a good variety of beers on hand for the holidays!

Simply incredible. Imagine living in the middle of nowhere and having a beer craving for something other than the American Lager available at the gas station. This machine is your savior, beckon call, and ticket to bliss. This is the ultimate way to bring micro brews straight to your home. I'm excited for the months to come in that they will be integrating the platform more fully with their kegsmarts products and ramp up full production for their PicoPaks.
An additional perk is the company itself. I have had a few minor hiccups (user induced) and the support is fast and accurate. I would place their customer service at the top I have ever received.
Thanks Pico Team, you nailed it!

Bought this on a whim and have enjoyed it. Made two beers so far and each one tasted great. Never brewed beer at home before this product. The Picobrew simplifies the cooking process of the wort but it doesn't reduce the fermentation or carbonation process, but you can have a cold beer 8-10 after starting the brew.

I've been interested in beer for some time and always wanted to try making my own. But that was just not possible given the space requirements and complexity. When PicoBrew introduced the Zymatic it was interesting but still too large for me. When I saw the initial press about the new Pico I was very excited. I couldn't jump on the kickstarter fast enough. So far I've been very happy with the Pico several brews in.
Pros:
- Size: the pico is larger than a Keurig but small enough that it can tuck neatly into a room (see the attached photo which includes a ton of supplies and extras on the 33"x18" bar cart.)
- Easy Process: While it's not quite labor free it's probably about as close as you can get in a machine with anywhere near this foot print and under a 5 figure price. All of the critical portions of the brew are controlled by the machine so you can pretty much leave it be during the brew cycle.
- Online Integration: The connection between the Pico, the Brew Marketplace, and the Brewhouse is really cool. I can monitor my brewing from anywhere and rate and/or reorder a Picopak I like.
Cons
- Directions are, at points, lacking: My early production unit came with a manual that didn't include the care and use section. It appears this has been corrected. But on other steps I felt like I could have used a bit more description as a complete newby. (I found pretty much all the answers I needed on the PicoBrew website.)
- More Video Tutorials: I would love to be able to get more instructional videos from PicoBrew on how to best use the machine. They have a great series for the Zymatic but not much of anything for the Pico yet.
Overall all I'm very happy with my Pico and look forward to many more happy brews.

I have brewed 6 PicoPaks so far and it is the best gift I have given myself in a long time! They turn out great, you learn about beer as you go, and sharing a fresh home brewed cold one is fantastic. The machine is not too big and can find a place in your kitchen or put it on a cart and stow when not brewing. The smell of hops and grains fill your house with the best aromas! After exercising some patience, fermentation takes time, you get to enjoy something you could not go out and buy. YOUR Beer! Clean up is not a big deal, just follow instructions and know that you are dealing with live cultures so keep it clean! The variety of Paks coming down the line is staggering. So many beers, so little time! Customer service is unparalleled.
I'm a huge fan! Cheers!

If you want to make beer quick and easy, this is the system for you. Not only can you make god beer, you can make some of those hard to find micro brew beers you might have had on a trip and can't find at home. This thing brews in a couple of hours, is easy to clean and works like a Keurig system. Only with Beer! Not to mention the soon to be working Sous Vide. For those that love to cook, it is the best of two worlds. The only thing you can't do is play with the ingredients but you can definitely modify the Hop taste and the alcohol content of your brew.

The PicoBrew Pico has been my first entry into home brewing and it has been well worth it. It is just so easy to use. Basically, if you can use your coffee machine, you can use the Pico. Of course, the quality of the beer is even more important. I actually grew up in Germany and so I got to enjoy some of the best beers the world has to offer. I can honestly tell you that you can make the same beers in your own home now! I have made three different kegs so far and every single one has been a great tasting experience. In fact, my family has asked me to brew some beer for the holidays. I am also very happy with their customer support. The company has been answering any questions I had quickly and they continue to improve their firmware to limit beginner errors. I also recently joined their online community on the web and on facebook. Lots of friendly and knowledgeable people that are willing to help out people like me who are new to home brewing. Very helpful community!

By far the most innovative and easy way to brew beer in the 21st century! this is the Kuerig of beer brewing machines. Simply add water, insert pico grain pack, hops pack, and press go. it literally is the most simple and convenient way to have the freshest beer possible.
With the breweries themselves approving the recipes and the end result product you know that the beer is always going to be good. Breweries from around the world would not put their name on a product if the results were not an exact reproduction of what they do in the main brewery.

I'm a professional chef, and a new dad, so time is limited, I was able to make dinner, watch the baby and brew a batch of beer at the same time. I have brewed several batches including the buffalo sweat, which turned out delicious. I currently have two more batches brewed and carbing up for Christmas. Super fun process and delicious beer from around the country, happy happy with my pico!!

If you don't already homebrew, don't buy this

I bought this in PicoBrew's Kickstarter campaign, and I would warn prospective buyers to be VERY wary if you are not already comfortable with homebrewing. I have made four beers on mine since September (blonde, stout, IPA and wheat) in vastly different temperatures, and all but the IPA (probably because it was dry hopped) have an apple juice overtone. They do NOT taste remotely normal - I've had a lot of well made homebrews (two that I made myself with a homebrewing friend), and these are botched. I suspect this is a yeast problem and not a sanitizing problem since it happened in brand new brewing and serving kegs. I mention temperature because you're warned to stay within the listed temperature range, which is very difficult in my apartment because there's no central air. I had wild temperature fluctuations for the first two beers (mid Atlantic summer and fall) so I started fermenting in the basement, where the thermostat is set high 60s. Nothing has worked. You will also spend hours emailing back and forth with PicoBrew support, because the manual is missing A LOT of basic information - like, how to clean and sanitize after brewing (which is a joke with the unwieldy keg brush they give you). I'm not kidding. I also had to ship back the faceplate circuits when the pump refused to shut off. This is NOT a simple way to brew. If you have perfect temperature control and maybe use different yeast, you might get a halfway normal beer. I'm going to make a couple more, and if they fail like the first four, I'm selling it.
