This movie took me by surprise. I had no idea of how crazy-funny it was! I've watched it SEVERAL TIMES in a row now! Franco and Rogen are outta their mind nutso!

Saw this movie when it first came out years ago. Loved it so much I had to buy it on 4k even though it was kinda pricey. Would totally recommend it if you want a good laugh. Seth Rogan is funny in here but james franco just tops it off.

If you've never seen this movie and are a fan of Seth Rogen and James Franco, do yourself a favor and watch this. You won't be disappointed. That is all.

A classic movie in an awesome eye catching steelbook

If you collect Steelbooks this is another must-have!

Going in I figured this was just going to be another run of the mill stoner comedy. I was pleasantly surprised to find out I was wrong. Seth Rogen plays a process server who likes to partake in the wacky tobacky, and one night witnesses a high profile murder. He then goes on the run with his pot dealer (Franco) to save their own lives and that of their loved ones. The film is filled with great action sequences throughout, but hits a climax with an over the top showdown that almost seems out of place if it wasn't so much fun. The Blu-ray presentation is wonderful with great 1080p video and a well done DD TrueHD audio mix. There is a new mastered in 4K version out, but I'm not sure that contains the unrated version of the film. It may however exceed this release's video quality. For the price though, you can't go wrong with this version.

Another classic movie I could watch over and over. Hilarious.

First this movie is a classic. I also want to say this movie was actually taped in 4k. People need to understand that Just because a movie says it's 4k doesn't necessarily mean it's 4k. To be honest there's not that many actual 4k movies yet ones that have been upscaled or remastered in 4k. People need to do research on what movies were actually taped in 4k. If a movie is remastered in 4k you're actually better off buying it in bluray and using a bluray player that upscales it to 4k but majority of the televisions that were manufactured in the past 2 years will already upscale to 4k as well. Back to my review on the movie. I have to say I find pineapple express to be one of Franco and Rogan's funniest movies they have done together. If you have not seen pineapple express I recommend it.

This movie set a high water mark in stoner cinema in the early 21st century, reviving the onscreen love affair of Rogen and Franco, which had been in hibernation since Freaks and Geeks and has since reached mythic proportions. It also introduced mainstream audiences to the brilliant comedic timing and tone of Danny McBride, in one of the more rare character types of his career- namely that he is not playing some iteration of an unrepentant egomaniac. My only qualm is that all digital downloads (ALL) should come with an iTunes code, and this one does not.

Along with the Guy Ritchie film "Snatch", my girlfriend says this is a perfect "chick flick". I don't quite understand that because both films are mainly populated by men. I think it has to do with the strong relationships between the main characters and the amount of adversity they have to overcome together. I'm sure it helps that it's also really funny. Nice picture and sound and decent special features. Watch the extended version, though.

Seth Rogen and James Franco as a pair of stoners? Hilarious. This is one of those underrated movies that may have gone under the radar for most, but it's a good comedy - I'll say it's up there, close to 'This Is the End'. The audio and video quality of this Blu-ray release is superb, so if you have a good tv and a surround sound system, expect a theater-like experience. Quality is a Sony trait. Highly recommended if you're a fan of stoner flicks, buddy-buddy flicks, or just a fan of Seth Rogen.

I never thought it would happen, but a stoner comedy finally won my heart. Pineapple Express is hilarious, weaving action and comedy together into an infectious package many of you will adore. The Blu-ray release of the film is even better. It features an excellent video transfer, a strong TrueHD audio track, and a generous collection of supplemental material. I won't guarantee everyone will love it as much as I did, but this high-def comedy is definitely worth checking out.
