Assembly was very simple- even for a person who never handled speakers before: connect wires to all speakers & the receiver (wires are color coded at the tip to insert in right places...for example insert red wire to the speaker with red hole), insert HDMI cable in from the tv and game system, then boom! its on. Sound- It vibrates my entire house! Never tried to turn up the volume to the max....not even halfway. I keep the volume around 8-10 for the regular day uses. Maybe 15 for movie nights and football every Sunday. Sound quality is crystal clear. Can hear every little things in the backgrounds of movies Complete Package- This comes with receiver (2 HDMI input; perfect for TV and a game console), blu-ray player, subwoofer, center speaker, 4 tower speakers, ipod connector, wifi capabilities, radio channels. Literally a home theatre in box. Price- $500 is worth the price...though im sure you can get better speakers for the price if you didn't need the blu-ray, subwoofer, and receiver.

I just bought this to replace my Sony sound bar , and wanted something in a decent price range / but this system surprised me with its quality / also not only does it sound good , it looks elegant / very easy to setup althought i wish it had the option for wireless rear speakers but am still very satisfied

Went with this because of the size- It has a bluray player, wifi, and a lot of acc. hook ups. But the main reasons I purchased was to watch movies and better sound. Long story short....... ANYTHING displaying from the HDMI out (to monitor) it would show a green line, popping up every few seconds. Called Pioneer and they told me its my cable. WRONG, tried that-didn't work. Tried a whole new unit and it still did it right out if the box. PIONEER IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE NEW SAMSUNG TV's
