Customers enjoy the excellent sound quality and the ease of use of this 1155W 7.2-Ch. 4K Ultra HD and 3D Pass-Through A/V Home Theater Receiver. Many appreciate the ample power and the extensive features offered at its price point, along with convenient Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Power, with a little inconsistency

Prior to this receiver, I had the VSX-1124-K, and also the Sony Strdn1050. Both prior being great receivers, the Sony was the easiest to setup, and had the best connectivity. The Pioneers seem to year after year have these outdated menus. Although it's not a priority when coming to a receiver, it would be nice if they updated with the times. The new 1130 does have built in wifi and Bluetooth, but both are very inconsistent. The ip address seems to always change or the connection just gets lost, and the Bluetooth decides to shutoff d after a few minutes then you have to reconnect. There is a slight lag with the Bluetooth as well. I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I do appreciate great sound quality. I run the first Klipsch reference line. Two r-28 fronts, center, 2 r-10sw subs, and the r-14s surround pair. At its core, this receiver gives you more than enough power, with my fronts bi-amped and two subs taking all the low end work, sometimes it's too loud. But hey, who doesn't want a system that p*sses off the neighbors. I cannot comment on the video upscale, I only have the arc channel wired. Everything else is to the TV. Setup is not hard, and if you can get past the remote and just use the app, you have a wide variety of options of audio. This is my first surround setup, and I'm very pleased. If you're going to pick this up, just hard wire the ethernet.

I had the sony 1050 but was having trouble with the picture on my tv freezing from time to time while using it the sony was super easy to set up and sounded good but i could not live with the hdmi problems and it sounded bad when streaming music with bluetooth and spoify so I took it back and saw this new pioneer 1130 so I got it and holy cow is it AWESOME it sounds so much better than the sony you can watch tv or use a computer etc while at the same time listen to spotify or pandora or what ever else you want to. IT does every thing with no problems the only problem i had was the setup it was hard but once I read the online instructions I figured it out. The iPad and iPhone control app is great you can control everything including zone 2 which I have hooked back to a different hdmi output on my tv so I can watch tv like a football game but listen to music at the same time I recommend this receiver to anyone I LOVE IT!! PROS; great sound for movies and music and bluetoothing great picture, and iPad control app is top of the line CONS; hard to setup ,definitely not for a beginner

This receiver has been a pleasure to have in my house as it not only has air play and wireless connectivity, but sounds absolutely superb with my Klipsch reference ii speakers & Bic pl-200 sub for movies and music. I made my own speaker wire from C&E 12 gauge copper and sewell deadbolt plugs and the setup works flawlessly on both my tv and projector. Having the 2nd hdmi out works great to be able to switch without unplugging wires and rearranging furniture etc. The audio and visual quality is top notch, not that it would matter to the average joe. If you invest the money in Pioneer you really won't be disappointed in my opinion. The remote works great and I like the fact that you can customize so much of the receiver's parameters and settings. Lastly, the room equalization and speaker distance adjustments make sounds as close to perfect as you can get in a given space, especially with dolby atmos. So glad I have no clue what buyers remorse is due to my diligent research, this product practically is simply wonderful!

I read a lot of reviews and did a lot of research before buying this receiver. I've owned several Onkyo receivers and have been very happy with them, and also wanted something with Dolby Atmos technology, which I thought was exclusive to Onkyo. It was only after doing some research and finding that Pioneer and Onkyo have joined forces that I started researching Pioneer receivers which now shared that same exclusive Atmos technology. I was looking for a mid-range receiver with decent power and found this one on sale at a low-end receiver price. Let me assure you, this is anything but low-end. For the price point, it has to be one of the best receivers on the market. Lots of features, lots of power. I love that I can stream music from my phone, control the receiver from my phone, and that it really drives my Polk speakers. There are a few things that have bugged me little bit--I had it set up via ARC when I first got it just to test it before putting it in a home theater, which worked great. However, after testing a separate video source (home projector), when I went to plug the HDMI back in to the HDTV the ARC no longer worked no matter what I did. So I ended up having to plug everything into the receiver first. That leads to my second nit, which is that it now takes about 10 seconds or so after I turn on the receiver and tv to get picture and sound. Finally, the remote is not intuitive at all. For example, the instruction suggest you plug a gaming system into HDMI 3, but there is no button on the remote for that source, so I end up having to turn on that source using my phone. However, those things aren't enough to deter my overall opinion of this receiver, which truly rocks!!

I had purchased this Pioneer VSX-1130-K A/V home theater receiver for 2 reasons. 1. I needed a AV receiver that would allow the connection of an older VCR and output via the HDMI output to my projector. Some may think that all AV receivers do this conversion, but they do not. Some only allow composite output via the composite output connector forcing you to have another connection to your TV. 2. Best Buy price matched Amazon. This receiver was on sale, $200 off at Amazon. They were very helpful setting up this purchase and had it waiting for me when I arrived at the store. When I put the receiver through it's paces, I will update this review.

This replaces an older Pioneer receiver that didn't have bluetooth or wifi and the inclusion of ATMOS was great. The bluetooth and wifi work great. I had to order some new ATMOS capable speakers to complete the system, but so far there isn't much out there-the demos I ran on VUDU make me look forward to watching movies in that format. I hope that DTS X will be available in a firmware update, though even if it won't the system is still solid. I like being able to adjust things on my iPad or phone. Overall a solid performer-especially getting it $200 off.

I punched this receiver to replace my 10 yr old Pioneer Elite recover VSX-72TXV. Great features and capabilities for the price. Internet connectivity is great for listening to Internet Radio, and the iContralAV5 app for your phone or tablet is great for adjusting volume, audio output, and understanding what audio and video feeds you are receiving from the various AV sources. Looking forward to upgrading my older Plasma TV to a new 4K TV. The Start-up_Navi app is pretty straight forward for initial setup of the receiver, although it is a bit cumbersome to go back and make changes. It is easier just to start over if you make changes or made mistakes the first time around. Great sound quality. Using it for 5.1 Surround on the family room and also using it for Speaker B in the upstair environment. The Phone or Tablet App is great for listening and making changes to the audio source when in the upstair environment. Overall it was exactly what I was looking for and you can't beat the price for the overall features and function.

Really enjoying my new receiver. Replaced an under 2 yr old elite one, which was under powered. Glad I powered up with this one for stereo jamming and surround sound.

This receiver easy to set up/install. The quick setup guide was easy to follow and downloading the app to my phone and using the AV app to setup wireless and program the input display was a breeze. I'm sure that I'm only using half the features to their potential but overall I'm very happy with the versatility and usability of the receiver.

I only needed 5.2 but decided to get 7.2 "just in case". The number of HDMI in and out ports was a huge factor, so far so good with room for a few more to be filled. Great sound and I'm set for the future if a 4K ever finds it's way into my house in 5 years or so. Great value for the money.
