Tuner was easy to install and met all the requirements for our needs.

if you play more music then this would be great for you. However I'm more of a movie watcher over music. I have an older TV and somehow it wasn't working with the receiver I wanted so I had to take this one. I like me old one that went out on my much better when it comes to my needs

Bought this to update from a VSX-43 that was a solid Elite receiver. Main reason for upgrade was to get HDCP 2.2 for my Xbox one S. I Love this receiver and Pioneer continues to deliver what I've come to love. Only complaint is that the iPhone pioneer control app seems to be not compatible with this receiver. We purchased this as part of our new entertainment center. We like that it's got the latest features and technology and have had no issues with it while watching TV, listening to music or watching a DVD so it must be doing its job.

giving trouble ever since i bought this item. first time remote stopped working, took it to Best buy, explained them what's the problem is, even aftre all that i explained, they asked me to bring the whole and took it and kept it for 20 business days and atlast emailed me saying it's the remote fault, nothing wrong with receiver. no shipping option to home. you take it to the nearest best buy, pick it up back from them. now again the output options are not working. not from remote, not from receiver, not even from Mobile App. couldn't change the sound output, from external stereo to surround or sports mode, or any other.

I really like this mid-range receiver. The only reason i am not giving it 5 stars is because Pioneer hasn't pushed the firmware update that enables Google Cast. I specifically purchased this receiver for that feature, and it was supposed to be pushed out this month.

Purchased to replace a Pioneer VSX-70 receiver damaged by a power surge. Same design but with latest specs (4K pass through). The 301 has everything you need, really. Why spend more?

The only cumbersome setup option on the receiver was the combined A / B speakers option which could have been designed better for easier user setup. It was confusing to figure out how to get both A and B speaker channels activated concurrently.

Just got the sound system of my dreams... need a good receiver.... after reading reviews was interested to try... once i got home and got to test it out i was impressed!

I love the two channel capability. My wife listens to music in the bathroom while getting ready to go out while I watch TV in the family room with surround sound.

Only issue I had with this unit was that its difficult selecting devices via the bluetooth but worked around it by forgetting it on the ipad or the iPhone im sure there is a better way just need more time with the system

I still haven't completely mastered my Pioneer purchase, but it does everything I can think of and some other things I didn't think of. True quality.

Replacing my 36 year old stereo and appreciate the time and patience of Terrel. I am very happy with product, sound, and arrangements.

I was not pleased with the difficulty to use and the minimum function availability from the remote. My bluetooth and Net functions were DOA and have not yet claimed warranty.

Great receiver, love the Pioneer elite Family. Mobile apps is the best part, works for multi zone video and audio. Great Buy!!

Needed to upgrade and the Pioneer fit the bill, including internet access for radio, etc. So far so good but I need to push this system with some tunes. Staff at Best Buy very helpful.

This sounds great when listening to bluray DVD music disks! You'd think you have a real symphony in the room with you!

A friend recommended this reciever to me. It would intermittently freeze up on the screen for Pandora and Spotify not letting me play either one. The same for Bluetooth and tv sound. It would let me play FM radio. Come to find out my friends Avcontrol app intermittently works for his Pioneer reciever. So I returned before I was stuck with it for good. The sound was great when the pioneer reciever worked right.
