Just got the Samsung 65HU9000, but my other av receiver could not support the new HDMI 2.0 nor the HU9000 4K60p 4:4:4 color support (Note: Samsung UHD TVs are the only 4k to support 4:4:4, Sony only does 4:2:0) so I purchased the Pioneer SC-85 as it had everything I was looking for Dolby Atmos, True HDMI 2.0 (4K60p 4:4:4 color support), and Class D3 amplification. After hooking everything up the sound and video processing are excellent and no performance impacts on my 65HU9000.

Got this from Bestbuy, upgraded Yamaha AVR RXV1700 (2006), I wanted to upgrade the AVR for a while, timing is right since this HDMI 2.0 and Dolby Atmos ready, it took me an hour to do the connection but took me more time to iron out Input assignment and programming Harmony remote, Harmony do not have codes for this AVR yet i am using last year model to program Harmony, it is not yet 100 percent OK. Ran automatic calibration, not happy with it, now trying the manual method to calibrate. web base setup is very convenient, the documentation is very poor, there is not a single printed picture of back panel, i had to take a picture and keep it in front of me for making connection, no downloadable manual either, a disk is included but it did not help with mac book air. The other AVR is considered is Yamaha A2040, SC-85 was highly recommended by BB Magnolia people, it will take me a while to fully utilize the capability of this AVR, I am using Definitive Tech Mythos line of speakers with super cube 6000 subwoofer. Oppo BD player, Apple TV and Directv HR34 Qdeo processing of video is top notch as it is in Oppo BD player i own. now all video could be upscaled using Qdeo chip. i would recommend this AVR.
