There has been a near constant issue with this tv since after the warranty ended with the screen turning green. Contact support gets the issue fixed for a day or two and then it’s back, last purchase of this brand and perhaps a fire tv.

Nice TV. Picture and sound are really good for this price range. It's real hard to find a 4K TV this size, for around the $200 I paid for it. This TV is perfect for a 12X12 room. I have Google OS on my Sony TV. Google is a far better OS than Amazon TV IMO. Google is much more intuitive and customizable, compared to Amazon. Google is more polished, faster etc. If this TV had Google OS, it would be perfect IMO. I do not like the remote that comes with this TV. It is a typical Amazon fire stick remote with no number input. Yeah, they want you to use Alexa voice instead. As another reviewer already mentioned, this is a Chinese TV, rebranded with the Pioneer name on it. I still own a 60" Pioneer Plasma. It's not 4K, but still looks better than my Sony 65" X90j 4K and this 43." This TV is no Pioneer of old, but a good TV nonetheless. The price on this TV has fluctuated with the holiday. At the time of this review it is currently selling at $280. It is still a great deal anywhere under $300 IMO. Check it out. This TV is very doable at this price range.

Meets expectations - quirky remote w/Klipsch

Picture seems good for the price range. The sound is better than most (but will never compete with separate speakers). The one quirk I have encountered has to do with the remote and my Klipsch speakers. I immediately configured the Fire TV remote to control my Klipsch speakers. While it had no trouble controlling the Klipsch, there is apparently some overlap between the IR signals. If I turn down the volume, the Klipsch reacts as expected, but the Fire TV also interprets that as a left click on the directional cursor (?). And the up volume on the Klipsch remote is interpreted by a right click on the directional cursor. Also, when I press the power button, the Klipsch goes off, but the Fire TV turns off then back on. I removed the Klipsch from the Equipment Control, and while the left/right still occurs, I can live with it. If this was my primary TV, I couldn't deal with this quirk. For me this is just the workout room TV. I did play around with the Klipsch IR profiles in Fire TV, but that doesn't solve anything. While the power quirk goes away unpaired, the left/right clicks remain. I can't speak to the longevity of this product yet. I did buy the 5 year service contract due to the high failure rate for TVs in this price point. FWIW, this is a Pioneer-branded TCL TV while the competing Toshiba C350 is a Hisense TV based on my research. Insignia and Amazon also make similar models which I considered. The Pioneer seemed to have the fewest number of premature failures than the Insignia. Both the Toshiba and Amazon reported failures and lots of complaints about technical support. The Amazon TVs also had complaints about advertisements and extra clicks that I am not experiencing with the Pioneer. My star-ratings on Picture Quality, Sound Quality, and Brightness are based on TVs in this price range. If I was comparing to my much more expensive LG TV in my living room, I would be providing much lower ratings.

Bouggt thi manly to play video games, but i also watched shows and movies off streaming services. I wanted an HD tv, and thrpugh my research found that this was just about thw smallest tv you coukd get and have the HD feature make any differance. This was the first HD tv i had ever got, and it blew my mind. The colors were bright. The blacks were deep. The definition was awesome. I bought my sound bar before i set it up, mostly because i am an audio-file, but just for watching content, i really didnt need it. Everyone says that when it comes to smart tvs, you've got to have a sound bar. They say the audio just isn't there. I found that even without the sound bar you could hear it just fine, with bass treble and mids alike. And i have hearing problems due to a lot of firecrackers going off riggt by my ears as a kid. Unfortunately, this as well as my sound bar were stolen, along with a great deal of content production equipment i had just bought.

I recently purchased the Pioneer 43" Class LED 4K UHD TV, and I must say it's nothing short of awesome! Here's why I'm so thrilled with this television: Stunning 4K Clarity: The picture quality on this TV is jaw-dropping. The 4K UHD resolution delivers incredibly sharp and vibrant visuals, making every movie, show, or game a true delight. Impressive Color Accuracy: The colors are rich and true to life. The TV's color accuracy and HDR capability bring a whole new dimension to my viewing experience. Perfect Size: At 43 inches, it's the perfect size for a smaller living space or a bedroom. The screen is big enough to provide a cinematic experience, yet not overwhelmingly large. Sleek Design: The TV's sleek and minimalist design adds a touch of elegance to my room. It seamlessly blends with the decor. Multiple Connectivity Options: It comes with a variety of ports, including HDMI and USB, making it easy to connect my gaming console, streaming devices, and more. User-Friendly Interface: Navigating through apps and settings is a breeze. The user interface is intuitive and straightforward. Affordable Price: This TV offers exceptional value for its price. You get premium features without breaking the bank. Great Sound: The sound quality is surprisingly good for a TV in this price range. It's clear and immersive, though adding a soundbar is always an option for those who want an even richer audio experience. In summary, the Pioneer 43" Class LED 4K UHD TV is an awesome addition to my entertainment setup. Whether I'm streaming movies, playing games, or simply watching TV, it consistently delivers outstanding performance. I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a top-notch TV without the premium price tag.

Great TV, I mean for slightly over $200 to purchase this, really a no brainer. It almost seems identical to the Toshiba Fire TVs out there. If you are looking for a low priced 4K TV for a bedroom or smaller room this is the TV for you, if you are looking for a TV to be the centerpiece of your living room or man cave, invest in a Samsung or Sony that is 120Hz

I purchased this TV because my old Workhorse Bravia suddenly fell off the wall and crashed to the ground. The picture is good and the fire platform seems to be just as fast as the new Fire stick I purchased for my Bravia. I do like that it is a smart TV because the Plug and Play aspect of it is just so easy no cords or cables to deal with of streaming devices Etc. I plan to get a new soundbar (my Vizio decided to stop pairing with it's sub), these speakers are decent for TV speakers, I think that's a feature called DTS. My friend, who wasnt aware of this feature, was watching and excitedly texted me to tell me how in the opening scene of the first Indiana Jones, the wind seemed to be on either side of him like surround sound insisting that I had to come to listen. I hope that the sound bar I purchase can use the same remote but I think that's dependent on the sound bar's end and not the TV. I'd like to get another TV to be able to mirror what's being watched in the other room, but I'm not sure I've had to do that so that'll take some investigating.

The 4k picture is great and all the apps I need are in the Amazon Fire app store. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my office. Price is great and it lives up to the Pioneer name. Very easy to set up and use but you have to have an Amazon account. You can get an account even if you aren't a Prime subscriber. Would highly recommend.

I purchased this for my spare bedroom. It was on sale, good size, and it was a fire tv, which works with my streaming services. For just about $200 (what I paid for it) it was a steller tv. It won't blow you away or anything like that, but for a kids room, or a bedroom where you want a smart tv with a decent quality picture and sound you can't beat it. I have found that the "entry" level brands best buy sells (pioneer, insignia, Toshiba, etc) are much much better than the brands that Walmart and target sell like the element brand.

I live in a furnished condo and the existing old tv died in a storm. Needed a replacement and the reviews here prodded me to grab this 43" Pioneer. So glad I did..The 4k image is fantastic. I tweaked some of the red out to get more accurate skin tones (combo of color, tint, contrast and brightness settings). The sound is as good as the reviewers say. Set the bass in settings up all the way and it its better than low end sound bars. Set up is a little more work than expected, but got it right after 45 minutes..Its only a 60 mhz refresh rate, but watched a live baseball game and was blown away at the combination of color, sound and stable image..If a 43" screen fits your needs, the value is incredible. Alexa instructions work well for changing functions and an Echo Dot currently gets tossed in the deal, all for a couple hundred (was $325, so probably being replaced in their product line..so dont hesitate if you have a small living area or want guest bedroom tvs)

I just bought this tv 2 days ago, it was a easy set-up to do. It connected to my wi-fi-amazon account and I was up and watching my favorite shows. Nice picture, but what I like most is the sound. It's not overly loud, so you don't have to constantly adjust it for commercials. I bought this to replace my one year old 43 inch LG which just died all of a sudden. I have the geek squad coverage they will be out Friday to look at it. This is my second tv from best buy to die in a year the first one was a Samsung, Both with only a year warranty. I did not get extra coverage when I bought the Samsung. I've always had tv's that lasted for years. I hope this is one of them.

I have purchased this TV as a replacement of older 40” one in the living room where other sound appliances were Pioneer brand which I trust for a long time. This FireTV connects to Internet easily (I used the Ethernet cable port) and the setup was intuitive as well - reinstalled apps backed up from the older version. Picture quality is very good even for streaming (which is often not really 4K resolution), navigation is easy and if you connect TV optical output to a decent sound bar or a digital amp as in my case - you’d get a real “cinematic experience” at home. All of that for under $250 too - it’s a bit older model but still has very decent specifications

I have had several smart tv's, usually less expensive store brands which have performed well. But my last one only made it about a year even with light use. I decided to spend some time researching and try something different. This Pioneer Smart Fire TV has been really nice so far. The picture is rich and the sound does well for tv speakers, but I use my soundbar most of the time anyway. I really recommend this tv if you are on a budget like me. I don't have room for a tv larger than this and can't afford to spend big dollars on one. So this has been the best bang for the buck. Perfect for me.

I do have Amazon, so decided on a Fire TV, and this is absolutely the best money I have spent on a TV. The picture quality is AMAZING, in fact might just be too crystal clear! My son loves it and the versatility, as he has Netflix, was watching on his phone and computer. The sound is amazing, no need for a sound bar. It was very easy to set-up, even for me. I love the Alexa voice feature.... just say Alexa show this, or show me that, and BOOM every program in Big, Bold, Beautiful, COLOR. I thought I was getting a low end set for the price, but Pioneer has exceeded my expectations.

This TV has surprised us and is of great quality for the price. It has a fantastic picture. The Amazon Fire TV being built in has eliminated the need for more wires and plugins. For a flat screen the sound is also good quality, good enough that the only component we need in the bedroom is an over the air antenna, no need for a sound bar. I recommend this television, it is a great buy!

I bought this TV because it checked all the boxes of what I was looking for, plus it was a great buy at only $189.00!! I am thrilled with it, the sound is like the movie theaters, loins and sound bar effect. The color is adjustable and is very very vivid and clear. I had a larger LG tv, but the sound is nowhere near what this pioneer tv has.. Overall I’m one happy customer, try it yourself, you will love it, (and the price)!!

Received this tv on Friday and I’ve been pleasantly surprised with it. Took a chance on it without seeing any reviews yet but so far I like it. Borders are a little thick and the speakers aren’t good at all but the picture quality looks very good for this price point and using the fire tv operating system has been easy. I can only give 4 stars because I’ve noticed a slight gap between the top border and where the picture starts when I was watching sports last night on ESPN and NBC. Not sure if it’s a programming issue or tv issue or if it will go away. It’s not really a distraction though.
