I bought this because of the Pioneer brand that I have been loyal too for the past thirty years. Set up was easy, it took about twenty minutes. I was fine tuning things when the sound went out. I adjusted the audio cable going into the sound bar and the sound came back. About ten minutes later, it did it again. This time I could no longer get sound to come through. I returned the unit to Best Buy for a refund with no questions. I know Pioneer makes great products, I just had a bad experience with this sound bar.

Bought this unit and at first it was great.. 5 minutes later the problems started. The subwoofer would randomly cut out. Tried everything in the manual and online to fix the problem with no luck. Went to swap the unit for another the next day but was told since I had bought it on sale they could just give me my money back.

this sound bar is amazing this sub is small but it packs a powerful punch of Bass, I bought another Hartman soundboard and it was subpar I returned it and bought this pioneer instead I am definitely going to keep the pioneer it's the best soundboard that I have ever owned

Great product- really has enhanced our TV and movie watching experience.

We are very happy with this purchase. We got it because our speakers were crackling so we weren't looking for overwelming sound. It is just perfect. the wireless speakers make it great when the Grandkids use it.

I think it has the best all around sound for sound bars. if you don't want wires everywhere and still want something close to surround sound this is it.

Thought this would be a great purchase to go with our new TV. Directions for set-up say to plug into TV. TV does not have anywhere that the sound bar would plug into - had to be plugged into the cable box. OK but, now when we watch a movie through the gaming station, that is hooked up through the TV, we can't use the sound bar - and wasn't that the point of getting it? Also, everytime the sound bar is turned on the sound is so loud you need to be ready with the remote to turn it down. Hate that! Would love to know there is a way to change that. I would only recommed this to someone who had a TV with the correct port for the sound bar.

I got this and can't get the thing to work right. Need to come and get y'all to Show me how to work it ...over than that I liked it. Thanks for caring .....................

I bought this to go with my new 65" Samsung TV but the sound is too much and the voices are not clearer. The tiny remote is difficult to use, and is constantly slipping down into my chair!

Love the speakers. Awesome. My mom-in-law, who is hard of hearing, can actually hear the TV and Sirius-XM radio.

Wonderful surround sound, it's like being in a movie theatre or live concert!!!

In my quest for great sound quality I returned 3 sound bars. The first was the Samsung HWF450 280W total power output for $299. The second was the Sony HTCT260 300W total power output $299. The third was the Samsung HWF550 300W total power output $349. After spending a week on each sound bar, playing Xbox360 Call of Duty, loud music via Bluetooth, watching movies, I realized they all have something in common, a processed and "boxy" sound, especially noticeable on dialogue. The balance between the subwoofer and the sound bar never seemed quit right, or may I say, balanced. Probably because of all the special processing that has to go into the modes, Sports, Movie, Cinema, News, Music etc. Even when I turned them off they all still sounded like it was coming out of a box. Finally, back to BestBuy to get another. After reading extensive reviews on the Pioneer SP-SB23W and hearing about it's amazing sound quality, I figured I'd give it a try, and I am so glad I did! I'll break it down for you. The good: The Pioneer SP-SB23W offers outstanding sound quality for a sound bar, particularly when it comes to the blend between the sub and the main cabinet. Performance is even more impressive considering the size of the tiny wireless subwoofer, which is easy to hide in the room. And there's also built-in Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming. I have my entire iTunes library on my iPad, over 5000 songs, and I can play any playlist or track I want and it sounds just as good as my high end receiver that cost $1500, no joke. The bad: The system's style won't wow you and the sound bar's relatively chunky size might block your TV's remote sensor like it did mine, but only marginal and was able to easily adjust the height of my TV. The included remote is mediocre and there's no front-panel display for visual feedback while making adjustments. Still, this was not a problem as you get use to what the different color led light mean. The bottom line: The Pioneer SP-SB23W is the best affordable sound bar, especially if you care about sound quality, It has outstanding sonics and balance between treble and bass making up for some of its design flaws. We absolutely love it!

Reviews recommended this great sound bar. We looked at others and this was the best.

Purchased this as a graduation gift for my son. Well he graduated and then has been gone for several weeks. He finally got home and set the sound bar and wireless sub up but it won't keep the wireless connection. I didn't buy the extended service through Best Buy, we discovered all of this after the fifteen day return policy and now he has been given a runaround through the Pioneer service hotline. Feeling a little not so good about this purchase.

I purchased this sound bar 5 years ago and used it on my main tv until this past week when it died. As mentioned by others, I had the issue where it would make a loud pop noise when powering on, followed by no volume. After powering on and off a few times it would play sound, but now it takes dozens of off-on cycles to get it going, so I'm decommissioning the unit. Even today, when I get it to boot successfully, this sound bar is fantastic. It fills my room and creates an enveloping, immersive sound. Music, tv, and movies all sound great. Given the other reviews with this same problem that caused my Pioneer to die, I decided not to buy another one. I purchased the lg sk9y with the optional rear speakers (much more expensive), and thus far I prefer the sound of the Pioneer. If only they had updated this unit with better electronics and modern tech, I would have bought another. 5 years is decent, but not long enough of a life span to invest in another.

The sound is very boomy. The highs are not crisp at all. I know it's only a sound bar and not a full surround sound system but the sound was not very good at all. I actually returned it.
