    Great Receiver Upgrade

I needed to upgrade my receiver to play 4K content, so I got this one on Black Friday. Easy setup and amazing results after using it for a couple of days now. The size of the receiver seems a bit a big, but I just care that it processes my 4K content correctly. My only gripe is how the speaker wires connect to the receiver in the back. You need to unscrew the knob to allow the speaker wires to connect to the receiver. But the post that the knob sits on makes it hard to pass the wire through to the other end. I'm not sure if the wire needs to go out through the opposite end, or if it just needs to sit inside next to the post. Also, I made the wires go into the top of the knob instead of going into the bottom (like the picture guide). Going into the bottom of the knob was difficult because I wasn't able to turn the receiver sideways while I was connecting everything. It also makes random "click" sounds during its operation, but I figured it was from the machine doing its magic inside. Overall, it was a great purchase, and I'm happy with its performance so far.

After returning a defective Yamaha AVI Receiver I bought used, Management cut me a deal on a major upgrade to this Pioneer AVI. It became clear this wasn't your father's Pioneer product. It was easy to set up with my entertainment center. But what I discovered was the audio technology was far more advanced than I was expecting. The dolby surround sound with my good old "analog" speakers blew me away. It was even better when I BT'd my iTouch to the unit alone that I really discovered a whole new world of digital power. I played Genesis Seconds Out (live) at a pretty hard clip and didn't know that my four speakers could put out that kind of power and clean sound. I look forward to an empty house every week so I can hammer out my favorite songs on this Pioneer. It is billed as their top AVI unit. I enthusiastically concur!!! Bravo Best Buy for hooking me up with the second best purchase I've ever made there. The Samsung QLED 65" UHD 4K TV was the first!!

I used to buy only Yamaha receivers but I took a chance on this one. I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money this go around and picked up this receiver for 300 bucks. The Pioneer does the job for my speakers in the ceiling. I would recommend buying a subwoofer as well.

Love my new Pioneer 7.2 receiver!! Sound great thru my Onkyo speakers, with nice details and balance, no harsh treble or muddy bass... very nice features as the 4K capability and Bluetooth connection; only wish it has streaming video capabilities !!!

I am upgrading from a 15 year old Kenwood home theater in a box setup. Man I know they say the best way to improve sound quality is to upgrade your speakers, but this reciver has changed the way my speakers sound! In a good way!

I paired this gem with Bose Speakers! My whole house rumbles! Any Dolby ATMOS 4K Blu Rays are crisp when paired with a 4K TV! For $399 it works better than the receiver I bought which came paired up with my Bose Speakers.

Bought as a gift for my nephew and he is loving it. First receiver he's had that had a room correction / calibration program on it. It's all set up for 7.1 and sounds really good and drives his smallish speakers fine.

So far this has been a massive improvement from the 6 year old Yamaha receiver I was using. I am using the same deftec speaker setup I had previously and they sound so much more crisp and clean connected to this pioneer.

Purchased it only because the physical size for my space. Does a good job. I am not an audiophile, so I can't speak volumes, but the sound it produces is good, and it handles everything hooked to it.
