The Pioneer Elite receiver has been a great purchase. It was an easy hookup and found all of the devices on its own. The adjustments to speaker volume couldn't have been better and the switching is great. I would recommend to anyone who wants great sound and easy operation.

It had everything that I needed, for the price I wanted to pay. Connected well, sounds great, and easily interfaces with the rest of my equipment. The only thing I would prefer is the ability to rename the labels on my remote since they don't properly reflect my equipment as programmed on the receiver.

Love this Pioneer Receiver. My son installed it for me. I had just purchased 3 new standup speakers (Klipsch) and a sub. So all in all it connects to a 46 inch Samsung TV, Sony DVR/ CD/Bluetooth player and computer, iPad etc. I love the ease of changing between devices.

Read some reviews and had to determine for myself whether or not this was a good purchase. After installing the unit, I felt that I made a great purchase at a good price. I have yet to use all the receivers functions beyond home theater but it provides great surround sound quality for my needs.

Great BANG for the buck$! Literally. Bought it as an open box item under $400 and the sound & power is great for music and home theater. For the person(s) who does not want build an elaborate and super expensive system I would highly recommend this receiver.

Discovered the Elite on sale and bought it right away. Most Pioneer Elite gear is above average as far as I can tell. Needed to get out of the 20th century and integrate the system with the new TV. The power rating may be a bit optimistic, but it is adequate for our living room. Using a programmable universal remote, the system has come together nicely. Tannoy mains and a Polk subwoofer are the core, with some surround and center speakers coming some time later. The listening experience is very acceptable for music, and movies or TV. There are enough inputs and outputs to satisfy our basic system, which has a Roku device and a Blu-ray player, with a couple other inputs unused. I really like the built in audio EQ, using the supplied microphone. It eliminates much of the hassle involved in placing the subwoofer and finding the right EQ for your sweet spot in the room. Fine gear at a great price.

There are good things about this receiver. The setup is easy and fun, the display is excellent and you get all the information you need without difficulty. Still, maybe it was me, but neither I liked the results of the automatic calibration (quite a lack of bass), nor I was able to manually calibrate myself to my taste. I returned and got a Sony STRDN1080 7.2 for 100 more and am very happy with it. The sound I was looking for!

I am very pleased with this Pioneer receiver. I purchased this for my home media center. The surround sound is incredible! I feel like I'm part of the movie when watching TV. Also the BT music function is great. I paired my phone to the receiver and streamed Pandora while cleaning house. Don't let the cost stop you from considering this unit, it is worth the price. I have purchased cheaper receivers over the years and none were half as good as this one.

Upgraded from the 2014 model and couldn't be anymore pleased. This receiver has quite a bit of options and provide a well balanced sound stage for movies and music. Also definitely perform the firmware upgrade to take advantage of DTS.

it was a bit painful to set up with all those wires in the back. first purchase was with the shortage and couldn't finalize the set-ups. After re-purchasing it, the quality of the sound & the convenience of the wireless connection to any phone was great!

I am extremely pleased with this receiver, my Bluetooth devices and airplay connect flawlessly, while it does play well out of the box for the best sound after using MACC I went in and fine tuned the settings and all I can say is it does not disappoint. Pioneer it is good to see some things haven't changed and you are still a leader in this industry.

This is a very nice unit. It replaced a much more expensive Pioneer that had some additional features, but I never used them (multiple zones). This does everything I need an AVR to do, and it does them all very well at a far more palatable price.

Great entry level Receiver. Has everything needed to get you started for a home entertainment system. Has its limitations so be sure you know what your end game plan is so you don't have buyers remorse.

Great receiver especially for the price! 140 W per channel usually costs a lot more. This is definitely the biggest bang for your buck. The Elite line has always been great, I'm really happy with it !

Great value on price vs. features. Not too difficult to set up but linking a bluetooth soundbar did not seem to work. I think it was more the soundbar and eventually got it connected from the soundbar.

First if all set up was easy. The system pulls its weight in performance and will push good speakers to there limits. It was not my first choice but was persuaded by the sales person. Smart guy!!
