I purchased the BDP80 FP to compliment my Pioneer Elite receiver and so I could use one remote. The picture was great,and it sounded fine. I was going to replace my Marantz UD5007. The unit was noisy when loading and unloading. The receiver remote would not operate but the most basic functions. The build quality is just not Elite quality. I returned it and kept the UD5007. The BDP80 is ok and is pretty standard for the lower end.

Great blue ray player excellent picture quality easy to operate compatible with my tv and remote control, 4k wire a must males a difference.

For the price, this should have a few more Apps. Love that itll play SACDs and DVD Audio discs... Stellar video and audio quality, but should retail for 199.99 to 225.00. Since it lack quality Apps, as most players of lower cosg have! I took away 1 star for price, and lack of Apps. It really is a flawless midrange BR player....

I bought this to complement my pioneer vsx-90 receiver and it does just that. The two work flawlessly together. Turn on the blue ray player and it switches over automatically to the right HDMI port. I programmed the vsx-90 remote to operate the player and added in an open/close function and all I need is the one remote. Picture is excellent and plays movies with Dolby Atmos.

It's a ok dvd player. Didn't realize it didn't have enough hook ups in the rear, and playing cd's, it doesn't display what track your on. It's a alright player, but not for the price, just because it's a Pioneer.

Loads faster than previous Pioneer models, but fewer features. No slow motion. Fast forward not as fast. Priced right for what it is.

Great Blu-ray for the price! The quality of the picture is amazing! This player is easing to operate and to install with other systems.

Pioneer elite products represent great build quality and performance with a 2yr warranty. This Blu-ray player has great features, a great picture and awesome sound. 4k upscaling is best left to a quality receiver or 4k tv in my opinion. 2 hdmis would have been nice, but performance is great as is.

The picture and clarity are awesome, the 3D is Amazing!!! The remote is easy to use..

I have this unit connected to an LG 240Hz 3-D TV and it performs as I would expect it to. very solid

This is my first blue ray player and is 10x's better than expected. The 3D is amazing as well as the clarity and soumd. Loads fast and is way better than expected.

I was looking to buy an expensive CD player for my Marantz amplifier but the sale person convinced me to buy the unit to play the CDs and so far it does the excellent job!!!

I recently purchased the pioneer elite vsx-44 receiver. It was a no brainer to replace blu ray player with the BDP-80. I like that I can operate them both with my iPhone and iPad.

I bought this for its ability to backup and create High Resolution Digital audio files of my 70 or so SACDs. It is a little complicated and I won't go in to the process, but for those of you that have Super Audio CDs that have wanted to make 24bit copies, this unit can do it.

Checking out the 3d blu-ray players, once again I'm sticking with pioneer elite, never had any problem in the past. Love Pioneer Elite.

Matched up perfectly with my SC-71 Amp, Using mostly just for the 3-d feature since most my other movies are streamed from hard drive through apple tv

This elite product is a very nice addition to my Home Theater ensemble. It's does a few different things that exceeded my expectations. Most of all it complement the elite receiver to produce a Great picture. Great price, highly recommend.

Very good picture quality,not big difference with my Cambridge BD player , but much more cheaper!

BDP80FD is great, No problems thus far. Picture is great. Sound is better than most. Would have given it a 5 but it was priced high. Waited & waited for a good deal but never could get much off. Still, I'm glad I got this one to go with the rest of my Elite system.

Sound is incredible. I use it to play music CDs in surround sound. Friends are astonished at the sound quality. Off course speakers help and I have Bose 301 series.
