Great performance for price PLUS SACD

Everything you might want (except DVD-A) in one box. I bought it on an after-Christmas clearance sale. This made it an extra sweet way to add another Elite faceplate to my equipment.

Good entry to higher end BD players

But if you are looking for a player that does an excellent job at the quality of the picture and set up flexibility at a cost less than an Oppo, this was a no brainer, especially on open box buy. I had $80-ish smart BD player and it's picture quality and color depth (using the same TV) is nowhere close to the Elite. Besides, I have Apple TV and a Smart TV if I want to stream from the net. If there is a 4K TV in your near future and you plan on buying 4K movies this it not for you, but if I do make the move to 4K, based on this unit, the Elite series from Pioneer will be on my radar.

Not quite Elite, but better than most

Fast load time, great image, connectivity with the Pioneer Control app. Love this player. If you want to do better for 1080p, you are about 2x the expense for an Oppo,
