This is a part of my BBC Earth collection. All stunning quality in terms of audio/video, content, and narration by sir david Attenborough. Kids absolutely love this on big screen - educational and very intriguing. Most bang for your buck along with Life, if considering which BBC Earth documentaries to get. One of the best products produced by BBC Earth for sure!

I loved this program when it was aired on television. Have always wanted to own it but it was too expensive for me. However, it was on an Earth Day special with Best Buy and I was able to get it for the right price. It has beautiful photography of various aspects of our planet most of which I would never see otherwise. Awesome, with good narration. Worth the $.

When played on my 60" plasma, the colors were so good that you felt that you were looking out a window and seeing everything in person. I have no complaints about the sound quality either. You put in the first disc of the six and just about don't want to stop until you have played all six.

This series is a good series for anyone interested in nature shows. The series comes in an excellent box set and would be a great gift. I was able to get this at a significant discount compared to the usual retail price at Best Buy. The narration is excellent with stunning visuals. This is a must have for any collection.

Planet Earth is one of the best and most expansive documentaries of all time, with the biggest scope and scale coverage about the place we call home. With a focus on different ecosystems, animals, insects and places on the pale blue dot, all the while narrated by famed BBC voice David Attenborough. This blu-ray is a must-own.

This is an amazing video series. Amazing photography from around the world above and below make this a fascinating and engaging learning series. Even our cat loves it! He gets excited when there are parts about mountain lions or other large cats or birds flying around. He sits and stares at the TV for a good half hour to an hour!

Breathtaking, vivid colors, sounds, and action. Nature of all kinds. The realization of this beautiful planet and what it holds. Plus, what mankind is doing to it. A real eye opener, animals are much smarter than humans. Sir David Attenborough's voice is, truly tranquilizing, and well narrated.

This encompasses all of the elements of programs on TV before the 1990s that cover all things natural and about life on earth. The Blu-ray addition simply makes the topi "pop" off the screen. I enjoyed watching this along with my children. I am sure we will keep this in our family video collection for many years to come.

My only criticism about this series is that it leaves the viewer feeling that there are a lot of pristine places left on Earth. The truth is that some of the films are made near areas where humans have devastated the ecosystem. That is not a fault of the films producer and director, just a concern that gives me an uneasy feeling when I watch these windows into nature as it once was all over the globe. The answer would be for them to include a larger view to show where these little areas fit into the bigger picture, including proximity to human communities, and how humans are putting pressure on these fairly pristine areas.

Planet earth is a must have. I'm only 25 and I throughly enjoyed watching this Blu Ray from begging ing to end. So much so that I started buying other BBC special DVDs. Please do yourself a favor and watch planet earth. Appreciate the beauty of it. And learn way to keep our planet asajestic as it is for future generations.

I bought Life last year during Best Buy's yearly BBC Nature sale. I thought I might as well pick up another one this year. I picture quality was great, the extras were great. The documentaries themselves were very engaging and enjoyable for all ages.

Another great David Attenborough narrated nature documentary! I've been a fan on stuff like this since Life on Earth back when I was a kid. Still have that VHS! Wish it'd release on BluRay stateside. But yeah, great documentary series here, and make sure it's the David Attenborough narrated version!

Simply breathtaking- amazing on Blu-ray. If you enjoy nature documentaries (and if you're reading this, you probably do), don't think about it- just get it. You'll watch it over and over, especially when you upgrade your flat screen TV. Narrated by David Attenborough. What more could you ask for?

The content of the films is obviously terrific. This edition comes with six disks in a book style case where each disk is placed in its own sleeve/page. Packaging multiple disk in a single case can be problematic, but I prefer this method over others that place some disks behind others.

These documentaries are fascinating and entertaining at the same time. While younger kids may be better served with Disney's shorter 2-hour version entitled "Earth", this BBC series is a must-see. Unfortunately, this series was released originally on Blu-ray shortly after the format's creation and has never been updated since. The video resolution is only 1080i (instead of the standard 1080p) and the audio is a lossy format as well. Don't get me wrong, it still looks and sounds great, but I can only wonder how much better it might be with a higher resolution video and lossless audio track.

This is my second copy of Planet Earth and worth the second investment. The visuals are stunning and definitely should be used to show off HD to any non believers in the world. If you have not seen this on TV or Netflix you owe it to yourself to watch this. So worth your time.

This is one of my all time favorite nature documentaries. I would buy this again if it came out on UHD. If you haven't seen it, you are missing out. It's great to have on the background while your doing something else. Many fun and interesting facts in the documentary.

This blu-ray pack is just astonishing in what they are able to capture these days on film. each disc is seperated in sections to give you full scale of what the earth really has to offer and things you would have never seen in person. The visual's here are amazing and wonderous. It especially looks great on a Big screen High Definition tv so you won't be missing out if you have one. It doesn't do much if your looking for story and climactic scenes, but it will give you insight to the beautiful world we live in and really presents itself well on these blu-rays.

This blu ray collection is worth having. The video quality is just amazing and BBC gives you so much contents that you could be watching the documentary for hours. There are also new contents that was not found in older version that are worth checking out. Get this movie!

I bought this to share with boys (7 y/o twins) and the video is truly exceeding expectations. The scenery and educational value is excellent. The voice over narrator is tough to hear, but otherwise a great value for an incredible product.
