Picked up this set on sale for $15, which is a steal. Picture and sound are top notch. The program itself is fascinating and a must-own for nature lovers. I would have given this 5 stars, but I prefer the BBC version with David Attenborough narrating over this version with Sigourney Weaver narrating. Still a great deal.

I would highly recommend this video to anyone who loves nature. It is well made, high quality and very informative.

There are many awe inspiring images in this series, which makes me wish all the more that this Blu-Ray was 1080p rather than 1080i.

At one time.. this was the basis for judging all HD TV quality..Bought this for a friend who had just bought his first HD TV.....

i remember when this aired in the U.S. Back in 2008 and I was blown away. Now that I have an hd television it's like actually being there.

We had the original DVDs, and the blu rays are beautiful, I like the extra DVD with updates on the snow leopard and other stories.

I've always been a huge fan of the Planet Earth series. Blu-ray is the only way to go when watching shows like these on your HDTV!!

This Blu Ray collection showcases all the living organisms from great to small and so many habitats from one end of the earth to the other! its just amazing how gigantic Earth is. I mean WOW.
