Planet of the Apes is the first movie like this with Charlton Heston. Great to see this movie coming back for others to see!

One of my favorite old school doomsday/sci-fi style movies. A cautionary tale to be sure. Charlton Heston just chews scenes to shreds. But the other actors, such as Roddy McDowell, managed to emote so well considering the restrictive ape prosthetics & costumes. I had the DVD version, but decided to upgrade to the Blu-ray version during a special promo period. Glad I did. Colors, detail, sound all so much improved over the DVD version.

What can I say, an all-time classic... it may seem a little cheesy at times, but that's just because they didn't have the special effects that they now have... But there's a lot of lessons to be learned from this movie!!!

There is nothing like this movie, I remember seeing this as a little kid and was blown away by the ending, Needless to say it has held up. Still an exciting movie and wonderful acting, one of my all time favorites!

What can you say, the original Planet of the Apes is a classic! Although the apes by today's standard look fake, the movie itself is awesome! Ordering and shipping from Best Buy was easy and fast.

Cool movie. It’s about what would happen if apes took over the world. That’s weird now that I think about it since humans evolved from apes, aren’t we already living in the planet of the apes????

A lot of cool special features. Great picture and sound for a film this old. One of my favorite science fiction films of all time. Like a feature length twilight zone episode.

This is the original Charlton Heston starrer, where an astronaut crashes back on Earth after years in space, only to find the planet is now running by intelligent talking apes, and human beings are considered to be the wild, undomesticated animals. Intriguing.

The quality of this DVD was excellent! It was so fun to see the original again and enjoy the acting and story telling. I got a surprise digital copy as well!
