I really have no complaints about these headphones. Except for when I’m using the Bluetooth, the headphones occasionally pop during movies or music. Not sure if it’s me or not. Also, the lining of one ear has come undone. That’s unfortunate. I think it was from doing housework with these on.

I LOVED the previous model, especially its ability to play music AND amplify the world around me. This pair can't do that. It's one or the other. It also doesnt do as good a job at noise cancellation. Sound quality and battery life still push these to 4/5, though.

These headphones are feature packed for the price point, however, don't expect high-end performance in those features.
The noise cancellation completely cancels out low hums from airplanes and trains, which is a plus, but you will be able to hear the people around you at coffee shops just the way you would, or maybe a little lesser than, noise isolation technology.
The battery life is stellar, and there is no comment on that.
Look and feel is great, they're a little bulky and heavy so they are desk (or travel) headphones. I wouldn't wear them for a walk at the park.

I have only had these headphones for a couple weeks, but so far I am very impressed with them. I have tried other noise cancelling headphones in the past and have been disappointed. However after reading some reviews of these I decided to give them a try. I mainly use them while riding the bus to/from work and it does a really good job of cancelling out background noise. I can now listed to music and watch shows on my phone at a very low level, which I prefer as to not damage my hearing. I've tried the open mic feature as a passenger in the vehicle and around the house and it works quite well also. This is my second pair of plantronics headphones, my other pair is an in ear sport design and I am once again impressed with the quality and cost of their products. I've also made a couple phone calls and haven't had any issues on either end.

If you can get these below $200 (and please remember that Best Buy price matches), they are a better investment than $350 Bose, and flat out sound better than anything Beats puts out no matter the price. I've always used Sennheisers, and these sound better than all but the extremely expensive "pro" version of those. They do take a little getting used to from a comfort standpoint, as the openings aren't huge, but the sound is great.

It is a shame that Best Buy stopped selling these. The sound and options available on these headphones were well worth the price. I was fortunate enough to have purchased the warranty ( after just shy of a year they stopped charging properly).

I was doing research on active noise cancelling headphones when I found these. I looked at many reviews from different sites before I chose. The ANC isn't quite at the level of Bose Quiet Comfort; however, for over $100 cheaper they come very close and are well worth their price. I got these headphones about a month ago and I've only charged them 3 times! The battery is amazing and if you don't need ANC you can save battery by turning ANC off. The controls did not take very long to get used to. If you don't want to use the battery they work when wired (which it came with). If you look at Sound Guys, they were given a very good rating. The sound quality is amazing; it's very crisp and balanced.

Save yourself the $200 and find another pair of headphones. I tried to save money by buying these and not the more expensive Sony 1000 XM 2 or the Bose Quiet Comfort II. That was a huge mistake. Build quality is subpar and noise canceling is almost nonexistent. Ambient noise is barely blocked out. I literally thought I must have been doing something wrong, but unfortunately that was not the case. I truly don't understand how they are reviewed so highly. Don't believe me? Buy a pair and find out the hard way.
I am really disappointed in this Plantronics product as I have owned other headphones from them and been happy.

Hi! Thank you for your honest review. We are sorry to hear you’ve had this experience with your Backbeat Pro 2. Please note the Active Noise Cancelling feature filters out low frequency noises, constant noises such as fans, AC units or engines but it won’t completely block all sounds. If you believe this feature is not working correctly you might want to try doing a firmware update through the Plantronics Hub Software for Windows or Mac: https://goo.gl/Y8b4jL. In any case we will forward your comments to our team for consideration. If you have noticed that your unit is not working properly you can contact our Customer Care Team at: https://www.plantronics.com/us/en/support/contact

Best budget Over/On Ear Headset for the money!

If you look online you'll find tons of great reviews on the Backbeat Pro 2 and if they were regularly stocked at Best Buy you just might see those prices on other brands stocked (cough, Bo _ _ , cough) drop more often, and stay down, to keep up with the sales these have elsewhere. They don't block out all sound (will silence a dryer), fold up to fit in your lunchbox or scream "bulletproof" from having a metallic build. What they do well is have clear sound that can be accentuated by any equalizer download. The Noise reduction is just a bonus and not a main selling point ( If this is all you care about go pay twice as much). With a lower price (which I got for $145.00) price matching) comes more value. Add a hardcase elsewhere for $19, a warranty for two years that cost less than those $250+ brands and you are left with quality, piece of mind, and a happy customer. Best Buy has a return period so what do you have to lose? Try them out!

I bought these noise cancelling headphones for work. The sound quality is great! They are very comfortable and easy to use. I am able to adjust the volume and press play/pause easily from the ear piece, which is a nice bonus.
My only complaint is that the noise cancelling feature isn't stellar. I work on a noisy sales floor and was hoping to block out the ambient sound more with these headphones, but unfortunately, the is room for improvement on the noise cancelling functionality of these headphones. They are a great set of headphones for the price point they are listed for; however, if your main reason for purchase is for the noise cancelling feature, I would not recommend these.

I bought these over Beats because I found those to have a little more bass than I was looking for. I found these and decided to give them a try. I use them mostly for watching movies on my Xbox One S while the wife is asleep. I purchased the Dolby Atmos upgrade through Xbox and I love it.
The headset is a bit too bulky to walk around with, but they are perfect for relaxing listening to music or watching a movie. Also, the noise cancelling is not the greatest but you get over it once you turn these puppies up.
The button layout is great and love all the options on the headphones. The headphones pause when you remove them which is a nice feature. I love the "open listening" option; essentially turning on a microphone so you can hear what's going on around you. Which I love because I'm up late watching movies, and I have my two year old daughter sleeping in her room, so this cures my paranoia that she is crying or has escaped her room and is causing havoc in the kitchen.
Overall, these are a great choice for the price.
