The headset is an good price buy, its extremely light, good sound and comfortable to wear for longer hours of game play. But I wish the headset did have a separate volume control for gameplay and voice chat. The voice quality is pretty good but not great, good for voice chat to party chat but not good for streams or making videos with this headset chat quality. In addition, I used this headset for music on my phone, ipod and computer , so this headset can be used NOT only for gaming and chatting.

I love the overall lightness and the fact the earphones can be kept on for long periods of time with no issues.. Sound is great and I honestly think for the cost it's well worth it

At first I was put off because when the item came in I opened the package and the headset was in pieces (disassembled), you had to put it together....after putting them on due to their comfort and lightweight, I almost forgot I had to build these things....they work good on the XB1 thanks to the volume control on the headset adapter on the controller...now if you're thinking about using them on the PS4 the volume isn't as loud, doesn't go up as high as the XB1 but they do work, albeit the mic is a tiny bit delayed....Now I got these on sale and happy with that price point but not sure if I would get these at normal price....

First thing you need to do is plug in the headphones to the Xbox controller, next got to settings and adjust the volume/Mic mix and that's it. The headphones do need to be assembled somewhat, but it's pretty straightforward. Push in the comfort strap, next push in the left and right ear cups into one of 3 locations (I chose the middle and it seems fine). The headphones are comfortable and seem to be holding up really well. The cushions for the ears are nice and soft, and they don't leave and residue or marks. The comfort strap for your head stretches, so it doesn't dig into your head. The sound quality is good, but don't expect 7.1 surround sound. The Mic swings up when not in use and picks up your voice well. These are really decent headphones for the casual gamer and I would recommend.

Brought two of them one for myself and one to replace sons turtle beach with removable mic which he went through two mics. Sound quality is good for gaming. The auto muting when you flip up mic is nice option no more checking buttons to see if muted. They fit snug almost too. But I have big head. Would have preferred more of a oval ear piece for comfort on ear. I guess that is why I deducted 1 star just picky I guess.

Great pair of headphones for multiple purposes. 1. Light weight 2. Detachable 2.5MM mic that is noise cancel Great set. I have purchased two. One I did have to return and exchange due to the mic for whatever reason not working. I believe the issue to be just a manufacturer defect. My local Best Buy took care of me no issue as I was transparent with bringing back the one out of two that didn't work. One I purchased in April of 2016 and the other in July, the July unit had an issue as of September 2nd. Go figure. Out of the box you piece this unit together. It's very simple and very light weight. Sound quality isn't anything over the top, so no extreme settings, etc. If you feel you need that, I'd recommend an external Sound card. Best Buy as a business does sale them and they take sound quality to another level for those that love their volume. My only issue on the build and it's the reason I give this unit four star is that you can't detatch the AUX cable from the driver cones. At this day and age, for me, it is a must. Fortunately I taught my children early on cable management. But I'd recommend Geek Squad Protection for anyone that will heavily use these as your cable could wear, depending on your level of care with the unit, and that would be apart of the product replacement promise you'd pay for. I would recommend this to strangers looking for budget units with good sound because you can remove the 2.5 MM mic and use as a universal headset for music playback. 4.5 Stars!

I picked this up on sale (think it was a daily deal or something). Good headset with quality sound and the boom mic that automatically mutes when positioned out of the way. Super comfortable and I have a large head. Only downside is it does not come with a volume control. I have the adapter on my controller for the headphone jack so no problems for me, but if you don't that may be an issue.

Great sound quality- the bass is impeccable, and the sound came pre-mixed exactly as I would have set it. The grey and black digi camo is very sleek, and the design is ridiculously comfortable. The auto-mute feature on the mic is smooth as well. I haven't had them for long, so I don't know how they'll hold up over time, but out of the box they're exactly what I wanted.

These headphones sound as good as they look. Comfortable to wear for long sessions and the sound quality is above average. I like the urban camo look and the mic folds up out of the way when you aren't using it. My only issue is volume. I have minor hearing loss, and these do not have their own volume controls, so the only way to control the volume is through the in-game menus. Sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge to find the right balance between in game music and sound effects and chat volumes, but overall I am able to find a volume that works for me. My next set may have to have their own power (these use the power from the game controller) so I can get a little higher volume to compensate for my hearing issue. Otherwise, this is a great pair of headphones for the price.

This headset is very comfortable and a bit flexible, they sound good, dialogue is great, and the mic works very good. If you're not looking to spend a whole lot a money on an expensive headset I would recommend this pair. You will need an Xbox controller with the 3.5 mm jack or an adapter.

    Decent Budget Headset

I've had several headsets in the past and bought this one to replace another budget headset, Turtle Beach Recon 50x, which had mic issues. Ultimately the Turtle Beach Recon 50x headset has a flexible boom to the mic... move it around and it eventually fails. The Planatronics - Rig 500hx Stereo Gaming Headset For Xbox One - Urban Camo... was a similar price point so I decided to give it a shot. Once I connected it to my controller, I immediately noticed there isn't a volume control switch. Instead, you have to use the audio options within the audio settings on your Xbox to fine tune how loud the game is as well as the chat volume. I've set it once to accommodate the games I play and haven't switched it. Overall, the headset has decent sound quality. My only complaint is not having an adjustable volume control. If you can live with that, this is a good budget buy

I'm writing this review from my iPhone, so just ignore my spelling ha. These headsets for the price are great. They are extremely lightweight for when you are gaming for several hours, which is one of the most important features to me. The sound is very good. While the sound is not as good as some of the $100-300 priced headsets for around $40-50 I would definitely buy them again. I wish the mic was a little more flexible but other than that, which is a rather minuscule, these headsets are great. I didn't give it five stars because of the microphone (I mentioned above) and, even though, they are great for the price, they are still not as good sounding as the more heavily priced headphones.

I have purchased 2 of these headphones for 2 of my sons and they love them! They weigh less than 1/2 pound, the ear pieces snap into a headband, so if they accidentally sit on it, the ear pieces pop out and can be snapped back in with ease (also adjustable by the way). I think we've had a few sets of Turtle Beach Headphones snap because of those accidents and they are broken at that point. The price of $60 is reasonable when compared to others and the 3.5mm jack plugs right into the updated XBox One controllers (doesn't work on 1st generation controllers - would need the adapter for those).

I was looking for a headset for my Xbox One and this one happened to come up as a Daily Deal and was able to get it for a great price. The headset comes in pieces that need to be assembled, but it's only a couple pieces and it was very easy to do. Headset has a good sound and works great for a casual player. Would definitely recommend this headset if you are looking for a simple headset for your Xbox One and don't want to drop some serious cash on a Turtle Beach headset. I'm happy with it.

I was able to snag a deal of the day for less than $30 and they are well worth it. Very comfortable for those long Division battles and people tell me that the mic is very clear as are they via these cool looking headphones. Boom mic is a bit odd to get used to but nice feature is swinging the boom all the way up mutes the sound so I can speak to folks in the room without interrupting game play. Very pleased with the purchase, quality and price.

This is my first headset ever. Normally I would use mid level over-the-ear headphones and not talk, but since owning these, that's changed. Voice sounds great, or so my friends say, can be worn for hours upon hours with no discomfort and the headphones have a nice open sound to them. I don't know how they would be in a noisy room since I play at night when everyone is asleep but I still can't hear anything when people are banging on the door for me to stop talking so loud. If you can find em, buy em.

The headset is very very light weight. Works with my Xbox and phone perfectly. Voice clarity is great on both ends (iPhone user). Sound is amazing again for the price. For my pc I have a full 7.1 surround sound headset that naturally has far superior sound quality for gaming(but that comes with a price). But for music and being able to play my games with friends this was perfect for me for the price.

These are a very set of headphones for what I paid for them. I've used the headset that comes with the Xbox, some cheaper alternatives, and even simple music earbuds. These are better than all of them. Great intro to dedicated gaming headphones. I give four stars because they're really nice -though not amazing - and I would get them again.

From the included xbox one headset to a Turtle Beach Recon 50x to this! so far, this is the best! Very comfortable and good sound quality. Adding a volume control would be nice but overall this headset is awesome! I also like the fact that you can use it with other devices as well and not just on the xbox.
