It's not the sturdiest tripod on the market but it will work if you need one till you can buy a more expensive one.

Great for backpacking. I took this on a 15 mile overnight hike with 1200ft elevation change. Held the camera for our big group shot. If I could find another base plate I would be thrilled. Replacement base plates are available for every other tripod but I cannot find one for this model. I have had a question up for 4 months with no response as to where I can find another base plate. My review would be a 5 if I had another base plate. Can't recommend this if the base plate is irreplaceable.
