Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tend to get these Platinum cases because they're cheap, they last, they have a decent balance of protection and slimness, and BestBuy pretty much always has them on day one. This case is far slimmer than the otter box commuter, but has a little felt in it so it still provides a bit of protection if you drop the device (unlike the dotview case). I didn't want it messing with the device's compass. I was cautious of this one because of the magnetic kickstand. I used a sensor graphing app and found out the magnetic field sensor is close to the phone's camera, so nowhere near the kickstand. I used the same app to verify when I put on this case it did not sense the magnet. Sweet deal!

Excellent protection with minimum added bulk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded to the HTC One M8 (from the original HTC One), and was happily surprised to see that Best Buy released a version of the PT case for the M8. The case is sturdy, it is a two-piece item that is inserted from the top and bottom of the phone, and clicks into place. It maintains the slimness of the M8, and the material doesn't snag on fabric, making it easy to put the M8 away in a pocket/purse. The raised edge of the cover prevents the screen from touching when you lay the phone down on flat surfaces. And the magnetic kickstand is excellent, it doesn't noticeably add to the thickness of the case, and is very practical for watching video or other apps horizontally. I had the same type of case on my previous HTC One, and it never failed me.
