Just just a great all-around case for my note 8...

I like the case, but have to give it zero stars because I just bought it yesterday and holster already broke today.

This case is thin enough where you don't feel a lot of bulk by adding a case, yet it protects botht he top and bottom edges as well as providing some protection for the sides (raised at top and bottom so if it's laying flat on a table, the screen isn't touching the table). Easy to put on and take off, so if you plan on changing cases periodically, this is a great one to have. The kick stand works well for watching videos in landscape mode, just wish the kickstand was designed in a way to use it in portrait mode. Great cutouts for all hardware keys, and open enough to use any type of charging cable or wired headphones. Easy access to the S-pen.

This case has proven to be amazing and doesn't seem to disappoint! I have dropped my phone down some stairs, its fallen face/back flat, on the corners and not a single scratch on the front nor back glass. Before buying this I noticed a lot of people saying that the case damaged their phones but I needed to see for myself. The only thing I will say I'm sad about is that the rubber outer layer is starting to weaken but that's from me messing with it so the cosmetic damage is on me and if it weren't for that, the case would look so much better I love that it has a lip on the top and bottom part of the phone so if it were to indeed fall, the impact would be evenly distributed and it also comes with the clip too for if you have small pockets that can come in handy ;) Overall I'm extremely happy with it and would buy it again for sure! Love the kickstand feature and simplicity, but sometimes the case comes apart easily if grabbed a certain way...wish the closure/locking mechanism of the two pieces was better. Other than that, great case for the money; provides decent protection.

I bought the case due to the front part of it having a belt clip, and being that I'm constantly on my feet as a manager in a warehouse, I had wanted something that I could holster rather than having to constantly take my phone out of my pocket. It's easy to put on and take off (the back slides apart), and it's done well against multiple falls from varying heights onto all sorts of terrain. Unfortunately I've had it less than two years and already it's cracked and broken in various places. Considering that most people are looking to upgrade their phone after 2 years anyway, I'd say it was a good price for having suited my needs for as long as it did.

I love the case. Its very streamlined but protects everything but the screen. I hate the holster. It rides too high on the belt, and is very uncomfortable.

I used, and really loved the Platinum (one of Best Buy's house brands) holster cases and have used them for previous phones. So I definitely expected better when I got the one for my current panoply of Galaxy Note 8s. Unlike the previous models, this one added a "kickstand" but it did so by somehow splitting, and making less secure, the actual belt clip. I've broken three of them already, and since this is the only comparable holster, am stuck trying to make the best of it.

I love this case but I have fond that the clip can poke you and you have to be careful not to break th clip when taking it off.

I dropped my phone and the connecting clip broke but the phone was fine. I owned the case for a month so I purchased a new case

I normally do not stray away from my otterbox purchases for my cell phone, but I purchased this case because it was on sale, and one of the agents told me that it was a good case. used for a couple of days and after a week or so, the case started to slip apart from each other, and the belt clip was poorly put together. The pin came loose until it just came out and wouldn't go back together.

Had another and broke it. Great case with 2 kickstands and easy in and out. Decent price also.

Not a great case, it came apart at the seams where the halves meet until I stuck them together with a metal plate for a magnet car mount. I'd give it less stars if that problem wasn't overcome easily, but it was slim and fit in my pocket nicely. Wouldn't recommend if it had been more expensive, but since I already had the magnet mount in my vehicle it worked out.

I bought this case specifically for the kickstand on the back...I wish phones still had this feature on them (started on the Evo phone years ago) but this is a good replacement. Tends to slip from the hand as there are no grips on the back, though I haven't actually dropped it yet so I can't speak to durability. Serves its purpose as a stand for the phone.

I've come to accept that Note8 cases don't really protect the front, and when they do it's not very good. This holster and case combination works better than my S4's Otterbox Defender, though obviously it lacks the front screen protection. The case part has good grip and seems to adequately protect the sides, with some open gaps where the power and volume keys are. There is enough standoff distance on the edges to put me at ease, though I wonder how bad an unlucky fall would be. Access to the headphone jack, power port, speaker, and S-Pen holder are uninhibited, which is nice. It also has a built in kickstand, which is a lot more solid than I thought it would be. It's nice to be able to use the case with a kickstand that doesn't also require using the holster for it. The holster itself is solid, with the phone+case easily snapping in place. The holster clip has a part that allows it to function as a kickstand as well. You can put the phone into the holster either face in for better protection or face out if you're kinda' using it a lot---it all depends on circumstance. The choice is nice.

Nice, thin design overall. The kickstand on the case is a nice feature. The belt clip on the holster is, to be blunt, garbage. It is poor quality and weak. The clip broke within two hours of purchase, and all I was doing was sitting in my truck or home. Look for another case holster combo, avoid this one.

Like the case by Insignia in the past because it has a waist clip on and kick stand for proping the phone at an angle. But, this is my 3rd one in this model. Got it for $12. One of the hinges in the spring for the waist clip usually breaks on this model. Also if you want to do a magnetic vent mount, you can't because of the Kick stand on the back of the case.

I bought one a year ago and it lasted until recently when I caught the edge on the car door and the belt clip broke. So I bought two to take me to the life of the phone. One is broken right out of the box. The spring in the belt clip isn't in the right place. The second one is working fine.

This case has protected my Note 8 on two drops on concrete! One drop was screen down in a grocery store with a concrete floor. I just knew the screen was shattered but when I picked up the phone, it turned out that the screen never touched the floor. Not even a scratch on the screen! The front of the case is raised to prevent the screen from touching a surface when the phone is laid screen down. The other drop was a corner impact in the parking lot, once again, completely protecting the phone, with the case absorbing the impact. This is the best phone case that I have ever owned and I highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for phone saving protection and hip mountable usage.

This case comes with a waist clip and both case and clip have phone stand capability which is nice but there's one major flaw: The case is two pieces and they come apart rather easilly, which has caused me to drop my phone already once in the first week of use. Phone falling with half a case on it kind of defeats the purpose.
