I really like the functionality of the PS4. It has a lot of good features and there is an improvement in the graphics department. Is it the beginning of the new world order? No. I'm also a little disappointed that PSN ended up following the X-Box live model of pay for multiplayer activity. However, with the success of X-Box Live Gold, that was pretty inevitable.

So, this worked right out of the box. The setup was easy, and getting started was painless. It was even able to pick up the wifi signal with better strength than my old ps3. Having said that, their were not a whole lot of directions in the box. It was pretty intuitive, but the new menu system is NOT the standard sony X menu and it takes a little experimentation to figure out where everything is located. I like the new functionality of the ps4. The way you can be involved with online games and making friends is easier than with the old system. I really like the way it downloads games in the background instead of making you watch it go when you first load games. There is a system update, but it really didn't come as a surprise to me. Finally, the share button is both gimmicky and neat. I have shared images and movies a few times, but on the other hand, I'm not sure that it needed its own button taking up controller real estate. My biggest gripe about the system and the reason it doesn't have 5 stars is that it still doesn't have many games. I can go to any store and choose between 10-12 games. There are only 10 or 12 more games that you can download. The games that are around look great, but most of them are also still available on the older console. I hope that a bunch of new games come out soon!

I got my first console shipped and it arrived broken on launch day. I returned it and picked up another one about a week later. The first console was not packed well when it was shipped so I'm not sure if it was a bad unit or damaged in shipping. My new console works great. the sound sometimes stutters in dolby so I just use linear sound and it works fine. Hopefully a future update will fix the issue. The interface is much better than my xbox one. The graphics are excellent and the new controller is very nice.

Games look great in full HD on the PS4, I can only imagine what they will look like once the platform is mature. So far it isn't great for streaming media like the PS3 was, but maybe Sony will add that in there later.

Sony has listened to its customers and developers and gave us a great console that moves their brand and our gaming experiences forward. The graphics are great and the new features are fantastic, especially if you own a Vita. the push for ease of development has already bore fruit as is apparent when compared to XBOX One. Topped off with a very reasonable price, this is such a good time to be a gamer!

Was hesitant on both purchases since didn't hear much about either system.Not to impressed with ps4 at all.I expected more from Sony in terms of next Gen system.As for the Xbox one Microsoft has yet to disappoint me or my family only thing I dislike about the xbox is lack of backward compatibility since I think the 360 still has some life left in it.

The Playstation 4 is a great console the system is easy to set up doesnt take much room and looks really good. PSN has been improved the xmb is much better now it is really easy to navigate and fast and your favorite apps are there like netflix and hulu. The games look Amazing and the new duelshock 4 feels great in your hands the triggers are improved and qork grwat with shooter. Overall this is an awesome console that any gamer qould enjoy my only gripe is that there are not many games out yet.

I wasn't going to buy a PS4 once Watchdogs was delayed, but when I was at the Mall of America when they put a sign up saying they had PS4s in stock, I changed my mind…I'm glad I did…games run so incredibly smooth, and look fantastic…new titles will come in time, and I'm glad I've got it to play now…playing mostly BF4 and Madden…but my son loves Fifa and the Lego Marvel game. excellent system!

Great for playing games. And a lot of other LITTLE features that don't make you forget that this is a game console. It has movies music and apps that are really great to use but those same features don't overwhelm the interface. Yeah those features are great but when it comes down to it we buy these consoles to play games and the PS4 knocks it out of the park with the gameplay and graphics.

I bought this unit as a Christmas present for my son. It replaced a PS3. Graphics are much better. We also use it as a blue ray DVD player, and I find that the picture is cleaner, and movies load quicker.

As a 90's kid, play station is the way to go. Grew up playing play station and will continue doing it. The quality you get from the PS4 is awesome! Complete new look on the start up menu and better graphics!

Ps4 offers great graphis and seemless game play. Wireless controler holds a decent charge. PS4 not backward compatable

I have had a ps4 since launch day. I have watched this system develop into the capable beast that it can be. Very impressed by the step up from the 3.

If you loved the PS3, you will continue to love the PS4. Graphics are improved, though it's sometimes hard to tell unless you're playing a title already familiar to you. The controller feels familiar, despite a few new features, and the start-up time and loading of games seems to me to be a lot faster than my old PS3. The BluRay functionality remains top notch with movies loading even faster than they do on my old PS3. My only gripes: Like the PS3, it's still a noisy machine. It also gets hot fast. And finally, I wish there were a lot more kid-friendly games, though at $400 bucks it's probably not designed with kids in mind. Incidentally, for $400, you'd think Sony could throw in 2 controllers rather than asking you to drop another $50+ for an additional controller.

I do not have any complaints with my PS4. The system itself is sleek and small than the ps3. It does not make any noise (I live in a small NYC apartment). Great graphics. Wonderful interface. No complaints.

This is a great new platform to replace the PS3. Super fast gaming and playback. New interface is quite different, but well laid out. Love my new PS4.

This Console Runs seamlessly Faster than any last gen console. Everything is sped up on this thing including the internet connection. i notice netflix and most internet connection applications runs much smoother comparably. able to process multiple tasks at the same time; like, any game while juggling the playstation store and a streaming service such as hulu plus. New Favorited Controller for me as well. Must buy for some one who is going to buy a next gen console anyway.

This is my first Playstation. Have owned Xbox's in the past and I am glad I made the switch. The Graphics comparisons that I saw and the exclusive to PS4 games are what made me switch from Xbox to PS.

PS4 is an amazing console and I use it primarily as a bluray drive for watching movies and also playing games. The graphics have improved considerably since PS3 and gamers will enjoy this console.

Having owned every PlayStation console since the 1, I'm pleases they continually get better. Although backwards compatibility would have been nice. Also would have liked to have free online multiplayer.
