I game on PC and PS5 and let me tell you the PS5 Pro doesnt dissapoint! It pushes all those games that struggle with fram rate, to a smooth 60fps through and through. To add to the upgrade, it uses AI tech called PSSR to give you a pixel count equal to or even better than 4k. PC will always have the upper hand but to get the same quality im getting with the Pro, i would need to spend $1600+ on a PC equivalent. Nice mid cycle for those new and for those who have upgraded their TVs and Monitors recently.

Honestly after playing my bfs PS5 I decided to finally upgrade myself to the PS5 Pro after holding on to my PS3/PS4 and it does not disappoint. The graphics and load times are definitely better to me, but the regular PS5 is still fine as well. My tv only supports the 1440p/60 fsp/hrz so I can only imagine what the 120 fsp looks like. I think the price is reasonable for the Pro (lowkey not after taxes though because it adds like $50 unless you live in a tax free state). I remember paying like $500 back in the day for the first PS3 so for $200 more dollars to get what the Pro gives, I don’t feel too bad. I do however understand why not having a disc drive or stand included is irritating for the customer, but again for me it is still worth it. Overall, If you have the extra money, I say get the Pro. If you really don’t care that much or have a regular tv that can’t support the high features of the Pro, then stick with the regular. I play games like COD, The Last of Us and Tekken for reference.

So I decided to back up my original PS5 then trade it in to Best Buy for a PS5 Pro. Great trade-in experience! The PS5 Pro does not disappoint. Comes with 2TB of Console storage, thats more than 3x the storage in the PS5. I have an LG C2 which supports 4K 120fps. Played some games and I do see a marginal improvement. Horizon, Call of Duty to name a few. There are select games that are PS5 Pro enhanced, that can balance fidelity and performance up to 120fps. The only con is that there are limited amount of games available that are PS5 Pro enhanced, but there will be more in the near future. $700 is pretty steep, so the choice is up to you. If you are satisfied with your PS5 original or slim and love how the games look, then youll be fine. If you want more out of your games and you are big on tech like me, check out the PS5 Pro!!

As an owner of the original PS5 for five years since launch, I upgraded to the Pro. Definitely worth the upgrade if you're able to sell your old PS5. Playing Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on either Fidelity Pro or Performance Pro mode is breathtaking, especially if you have a 4K TV with 120 HZ refresh rate and VRR. Gran Turismo 7 also receives a graphical boost, which looks even more stunning in VR.
Design looks clean, was even able to order custom Spider-Man plates as shown in the photos.

Next-level performance! Games look stunning in 4K, and the speed is insane. Load times are basically gone. A huge upgrade from the base PS5 worth every dollar if you’re a serious gamer.

After waiting so long to purchase a PS5, I had to go ahead and pick up the PS5 Pro. Everything about the Pro is fantastic. From loading times to performance, I’d say the Pro is pretty much worth it if you don’t already have a PS5 like I did myself. Only criticism I got for the console is that it should have come with a vertical stand AND disc drive. There’s no reason why it shouldn’t have been included.

Good console for someone who’d want PC level fidelity on the PS platform, the resolution and performance bump on games optimized for pro is extremely noticeable and it is nice to finally play games at 60fps without graphical compromise anymore like upscaling from 720p. PSSR is very close to DLSS although it still needs a little bit more time but for being a new upscaling technology it’s impressively already almost at DLSS level. The games that ran at 120hz on base PS5 now look better with the extra gpu power. PS5 pro is a preview of what PS6 will be like. Console is extremely attractive and light weighing in at 6 pounds, a big advantage over the OG model I have.

Definitely a step up from the regular PS5. Load times are a bit faster, graphics look and flow a lot smoother, frames hold and present every detail. Not even mentioning the storage space. Some may say they barely notice (also probably depends on the TV & HMDI cable) but I’ve definitely felt the difference after playing on it for over 2 months now. Hopped on my digital edition and felt a surreal difference in speed/resolution. If you have a PS5 to trade in, the pro is worth the purchase.

If you’re getting a ps5 this is the only one to get. It has more storage more power and boy does it look good on a 55 inch LG oled. Games are buttery smooth and look amazing.

The PS5 Pro takes gaming to a whole new level. The upgraded performance is instantly noticeable — smoother frame rates, faster load times, and stunning 4K visuals that truly immerse you in the game. Whether you’re into fast-paced shooters or cinematic adventures, this console delivers power and beauty with ease. Definitely a must-have for serious gamers!

Is Sony's PlayStation 5 Pro really worth the $700 plus tax price tag, they're asking for it all comes down to the individual what you're looking for. And if you want the best of the best or just a PlayStation 5 Slim I picked up my PlayStation 5 Pro yesterday. I started playing The Last of Us remastered and I got to say with the PlayStation 4 Graphics enhancement. You see a noticeable difference, but it's not night and day. I tried Horizon forbidden West which has a PlayStation 5 Pro patch and the difference was breathtaking as a gamer on the original PlayStation 5. You can really tell the difference between the pro and the regular PS5 and again, it's not a night and day difference. Probably and it would be the only negative I can say about the PlayStation 5 Pro is the fact that at the $700 price point is being offered. There isn't really that many PlayStation 5 titles and I'm talking about across the board in every model that could take advantage of pssr. But Mark Cerny did say they are committed to making the PlayStation 5 Pro a gaming beast and they will release more games to sum up my review. Do I recommend the PlayStation 5 Pro over the slim? I definitely do recommend it. I returned a PlayStation 5 Slim with overheating issues the PlayStation 5 pro has been amazing and I can't wait what the company offers for it in the future and how simple it's going to be for developers to make more games for us hardcore Gamers to enjoy.

Overall I am amazed. Coming from a ps5. I can honestly tell a difference in almost every game in every aspect. Some games more than others. Definitely in the finer details if you care for that.
Only downside I have had so far. (To be fair had it on the ps5 too) where the LAN cable will randomly say it’s disconnected when it isn’t. Sometimes it won’t ever do it and others it’ll do it so much you’ll want a PC. Not just a ps5 pro issue to be fair though. I just hoped it would have been fixed by now with a pro model. (Definitely a software issue. Not hardware issue).

This system is awesome, hands down! A nice step-up over the original ps5. Enchanced games perform much better using Playstation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), and the 2TB storage upgrade over the base Ps5 is one of the main reasons I upgraded to this system. SSD storage is not cheap these days. If you have a TV (display) that's 120hz or higher, 2.1 HDMI, VRR and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) then this system is for anyone looking to get better gaming performance on Playstation. Im definitely enjoying mine!

Merging quality and performance is amazing, but the added ray tracing, and pssr are the sure winners with this upgrade. Adding AI brings already beautiful games to life especially with the depth of field. Not a fan of disc drive and stand being sold separately but great for those who doesn’t own physical copies.

PS5 Pro Review: A Powerful Leap with Sharper Ray Tracing Performance
The PS5 Pro builds on the solid foundation of the original PlayStation 5, delivering a noticeable performance boost that benefits both casual players and tech-savvy gamers. One of its standout upgrades is the enhanced ray tracing capability, which brings richer, more dynamic lighting and reflections to supported games. Titles that previously struggled with performance in ray-traced modes now run smoother, with more stable frame rates and higher resolution visuals. Load times remain lightning-fast thanks to the custom SSD, and the overall UI experience is just as snappy. While it doesn’t reinvent the console experience, the PS5 Pro is a meaningful upgrade for those who crave better graphics fidelity and future-proofed hardware. It’s especially worthwhile for players with 4K displays looking to get the most out of next-gen visuals.

Coming from the regular PS5, I was really excited to see how games like GOW: Ragnarok would look with the beefier specs. I can confidently say that not only do some of my favorite games look better, but the higher frame rates make this worth every penny. And with the upcoming PSSR 2.0 update, it's only set to improve further!

I love the PS5 Pro. Playing games @ 120fps 4k is AMAZING! This IS gaming. I really enjoy the better graphics through the improved CPU/GPU performance. I was also surprised and enjoy the fact that they gave the operating system a dedicated 2GB of RAM so the the other RAM can be allocated specifically for gaming. I didn't care for the fact that the system did NOT come with a disk reader however it's the best console I own. I also moded the case bringing more cool air into the system as well as a cooler on the back with 3 fans and a stand that exerts air from the bottom as well. Also, included a USB hub on the front for more connections and a NACON controller which I swear by and LOVE. Great machine. After months of having it, I can say the extra money for the PRO edition IS worth the extra money. Thank you Best Buy for making it all possible!
