When I saw the drive on sale, i knew it would be great to replace my 4 gig PNY Attache drive to use as extra storage for my Xbox 360, but generally things that are cheap in price are cheap in quality too. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cons: Unfortunately, that rule applies here. the drive does not connect properly and is extremely loose when plugged in. the actual board inside the casing is not held in place very well, and is prone to separating from the case itself. this causes causes the board to fail to connect unless you push the board back into place. Granted, this may have been due to damage during shipping, but as far as i know, that's how it works. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pros: On the flip side, the fairly large 16GB memory size is wonderful, and it was for a great price. This, coupled with the fact that HP makes a LOT of good stuff, is what won me over. overall performance is iffy as its file transfer speed seems to be very random, being lightning fast at some times, yet has a lot of stops and lag at others. generally, it runs well. cap stays on well. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some speed tests: ---A 1080p HD TV Show (RvB Reconstruction Ep. 298 MB): exactly 1 minute ---installing an Xbox 360 game (The Orange Box, 4.7 GB): 9:30 minutes --as compared to the Xbox HDD, which takes approx. 5 minutes (HDDs are MUCH faster than Flash Drives, so this is pretty good) ---A set of 230 10-megapixel pictures (3264x2448 resolution, 460 MB total, approx. 2 MB each): 1:32 Minutes ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summary: Overall, it serves its purpose: sitting in my 360 as extra storage. since it never moves from that spot (or does so rarely) it is not a problem that the board moves around a bit as its always plugged in the same way, so it is always connected. but, if it is true that this is HP's quality and not shipping damage, i must say i am content yet disappointed. Tested on an H3 Special Edition Xbox 360 and a Toshiba L505d-s5965 Laptop.

The PNY - 16 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive is a nice looking piece. It was affordable and works perfectly fine for it's intended purpose.

This flash drive has nothing wrong with it. I have had this device for a few months now, and I have not run into any problems.

Needed as a transfer device between multiple computers running different Microsoft operating systems; works fine and fast.

This 16gb USB flash drive works great for storing documents, photos, and other items.

I conducted hours of research before purchasing this product. Received it today, plugged it into a Compaq Laptop and was immediately recognized and operational. The primary purpose of this purchase was to replace my 4GB Flash Drive with a 16GB to increase my computer's performance utilizing Ready Boost on Windows 7. NOTE: Ready Boost maxes out at 4094MB. Theoretically, I could have purchased an 8GB and saved $8.00 but with this model I will have plenty of storage for future needs. The only complaint is the cover is unattached to the drive and can be easily lost as there is no where to secure it on the drive. Since this device will be primary plugged into a USB port, this will not be an issue for ME but should be taken into consideration if you plan to carry this around. For the money, you will not beat the performance, quality and ease of use.

I've seen 16G USB drives going for triple the cost of this one so when I spotted the HP name and the reasonable price, I jumped on it. We ordered 3, and I have to say, these are so, so easy to use and I actually prefer the USB drives that are NOT retractable. I've had too many problems with the retractable versions, but this one is perfect. It comes with a cap to protect the part that plugs into your computer so there's no worry about damage. Great price, great item!

The price for this was great compared to other brands. I already have several SanDisk 8GB but we needed a larger capacity so found this on-line here at Best Buy. It does not have the programs which are on the SanDisk (programs I do not use), so I expected more capacity. I was disappointed to find I could only use 14.9 GB for storage as the rest is taken up with some utilities or something and cannot be removed. Also, the description said it would come with a manual, which it did not. However, it has worked fine if you follow all the logical steps using it, and gives enough space for backing up a 16GB iPod library. I would buy it again. It arrived quickly and the price was good.

I am pleased with the quality of this product. Low cost, high capacity, and an awesome look...it has a wood grain detail on the casing. It even lights up red from inside when in use! The downside is that its only available for purchase online and the logo is starting to fade already. HP is the best! Currently using the device for Xbox 360 memory storage.

Does exactly what it should. I got it on sale so the price was good compared to what it is normally. Had one small glitch that i'm chalking up to a fluke where, of all things, an HP computer wouldn't recognize it. After a reboot, that issue resolved. One other machine didn't recognize it. An old IBM Intellistation M Pro. But I hardly use it in that machine anyways...so not a big deal. Works great though for it's primary purpose which was a bootable Linux USB OS Drive.

I'm really glad that I purchased this flash drive. The file transfer speed was smooth and quick. The price I paid for it was very reasonable and it stores all of the files that I needed to transfer from my old computer, to it, to my laptop. I was surprised that it did not come with any instructions, but I didn't really need any as figuring out how to use it was really simple and it did exactly what I needed it to do very quickly. I would recommend this product to others.

Price per GB is unbeatable.! The one thing I learned from these reviews...the cover is clear. If you drop it on the floor, it is very hard to find. As recommended by another buyer, I put a piece of colored tape on it ( or paint it with fingernail polish or the like). Now when it falls on the floor, I can easily find it. Great for storing photos which can take up quite a bit of room.

Overall the HP USB flash drive is a good device. Plenty of storage and a brand you know you can trust. However the transfer rate for this device I found wanting (needing improvement). If the transfer rate is a concern to you I would recommend another device, but if you are using it for an occasional backup of important files, then this drive is perfect and at a great price.

I liked this thumb drive immediately, bought specifically for the 16 gb capacity. The compact size is a plus. the cap fits snuggly. Any computer that it's been plugged into has had no problems at all making use of it. The best thing about the HP USB flash drive is the cost it fit right into my price range. Good Value.

Got this about a week ago on line. Shipped to me quick. I used it to put part of my itunes on it. Easy to load with my music. Now I can plug into new car stereo in tray that will not accept my ipod shuffle. Works great best buy for auto that I could make.

Had product for about a month now, works great, no complaints. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a USB key.

Its a good Flash Drive, the read speed is not very fast about 6-7MB/s, the read speed is about 16-20MB/s, but I'm happy with it. I used my $20 reward zone coupon so the price in the end was perfect. I didn't use it for a long time so I can't comment on reliability.

Now I can save all my Class information and used later to review it to process at any center or at home to do my home work.,

I had been backing up my files with cds--total drag. This makes it fast, easy, 1 thing--not 5 disks or more. Great price on sale, I think was $30. Totally happy with it. My first Thumb Drive--where have I been?

Excellent product for the price from a quality company. Plenty of capacity for the PC user who backs up his files on a regular basis.
