Good RAM for improved performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this up for my 2012 i7 Macbook Pro as it came with only eight gigs of RAM, which was barely enough to run the Yosemite beta and left me with a lot of lagging and sluggish performance when I was doing almost anything. After looking up the instructions online for swapping the RAM, I installed this new RAM and noticed a dramatic improvement. My Macbook didn't hang anymore. Working in Final Cut Pro X wasn't an exercise in frustration and patience while waiting for my Macbook to catch up anymore either. The only other thing to do after this that could improve the performance of my Macbook Pro would be to swap the standard 7,200rpm hard drive for an SSD. I only wish I'd done this RAM upgrade sooner.

My only warning is to make sure your laptop works well with 1.5v (DDR3) memory as opposed to similar memory that is 1.35v (DDR3L). Check online for a plethora of articles that discuss the differences and issues.

Solid memory for a low price

The nice thing is this memory is perfect for my ASUS G750 laptop. Planning to buy a second set to increase my total memory to 32 GBytes.

Increased Performance

Richie was great at the Scranton Store in PA. If you live there ask for Richie he is awesome. Price was fare for memory because I had the Technical support the install was free. Well worth the plan I love Geek Squad!!!

Officially, Apple does not list the MacBook Pro 13 (mid 2012) at 16 Gb memory max, but it is true. And it works. An Apple technician recommended it and my local Apple store did not deny. Memory works fine for me.
