I picked up 2 of these for $30 each which was an absolute steal! Took my computer fro 512 to 2G in less than a minute's time. I was trying to run Windows Vista and hating it because it was so slow, but with the new memory, my laptop is actually useable and not frustrating. It made a huge difference for digital scrapbooking, too. Almost no wait time when loading graphics vs. a minute or more prior to the upgrade.

I bought this ram for my dad's desktop. He had 2x256 ddr2 400mhz and this ram was able to downspeed to the 400. When I can get another one of these for $40 again, I will. His performance BOOSTED so much and I can tell because I'm kinda a nerd when it comes to computers =). I would recommend it, especially when it's on sale because it's regularly $100 which is really PRICEY!

I have a HP 7760n Media Center dual core processor with 2gbs of PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM. The Best Buy write-up said this memory was compatible with PC2-4200 533mh even though it is rated at PC2-5300 667mh. This always makes me wonder if it will really work as designed or even be found by the system. Well it does work and it makes Vista hum. So now I am at 4gbs and the Windows Movie Maker and other memory hogs are noticably faster. It was recgonized by the computer on the first startup after the install. The only challange was on the HP side. They put the memory slots on the motherboard right smack under the media and hard drives. I ended up removing the 2 original memory modules so I could get my fat hands to the most distant empty slot. This also allowed me to see the alignment slot on the memory card that I removed so I would insert the new ones in the correct direction. After having a drop light in place so I could see under the drives for alignment, and holding in one hand a mass of wires from the drives, I was able to get the first module in place with the other hand. The second module was easier and the 3rd and 4th went in without a problem. The system only shows 3.577 gbs of memory rather than 4 for some reason. but the setup shows 1024mb on each slot. In summary PNY is quality and the sale price was great.

This memory is nothing short of fantastic. It installed in about 2 minutes and was recognized immediately by the PC. If you are looking for quality memory at a low price this is the memory for you. I couldn't be happier with it. I noticed an immediate difference in the run speed of my computer. I Recommend buying two for the biggest speed boost.

I bought this ram for a new system I'm building, I've yet to install it yet, but I have had great luck with PNY in the past, which lead to my decision to buy as well as price. On the website it advertises in the overview tab, "Aluminum heat spreaders for improved reliability" This ram DOES NOT have aluminum heat spreaders or any heat spreaders at all. It is good ram for the money, but it advertises this and doesn't deliver, but that's a best buy issue not a pny issue. Overall it's a great product, but they advertise one more feature that it doesn't have.

I bought two of these sticks when they were on sale for less than $30 a pc. and I'm so happy that I did. I'm running regular Windows XP 32-bit and only had 1GB for almost two years. What a difference between one and two GB! My games run a lot smoother and the whole system just runs that much better. No more having to defrag my RAM when gaming! Wait for these to go on sale again....best money I've spent for a simple upgrade. Just pop out your old memory sticks and slide these in.

I have a desktop that is about a year old. Everything was running fine but I wanted to add the extra memory for a couple of reasons. First was that I had 2 extra slots that were empty and the other was for perfomance. I am not an avid gamer but do play when I get the chance. The memory popped right in and I notice screens pop up quicker and load times are greatly reduced. Again for the price this was an thumbs up deal for me. I know there are more expensive memory sets out there but this product fits the bill as far as I am concerned

My computer is much faster with this RAM now. It was easy to set up. The price was good. I recommend this to other ppl.

Just upgraded from 2 to 4 line of 1 GB RAM for my new desktop computer with 3.0 clocking speed and Vista Priemum operating system. Will definately help improve performance. 2 GB usually costs @ $200 so this price was great. It was well worth the time and effort to crack the case and simply snap them in place and secure. And if not comfortable doing it yourself, Best Buy will install for @ $40. Anyway, recommend adding max RAM if operating Vista on your computer. A+ product.

i got these to make my 512mb vista run faster. installing it was really easy but when i turned my computer on it said windows did not start properly but that was becouse i took out the original memory so i had to put in the old one restart shutdown again put in just one of the cards into the extra slot turn it back on and ran awesome and i was real glad but then after 30mins or so my computer shuts down and shows a blue screen saying a bunch of junk and said it needed equal memory in both slots to run properly so i take out the old 512 and put in the 1gb and it said windows cannot start properly so i just put in the old ram. i do not like this at all i had to do a system restore to fix the problems it caused. windows never reconized it but for some reason it worked for a little bit then stoped

The package took longer to open than installing the RAM! Highly recommended when it is on sale for 30. Buy two if you have a newer Vista machine with dual processors. Just be careful inserting the ram in - it goes in tough but you don't want to go too tough because you can crack the motherboard. After adding these 2 of these to an already 2GB, the effective RAM is 3.54GB. You lose some but it's lightening fast!

i bought this upgrade to play the sims 3 i only had 1 gb in my computer before and it was slow but i never noticed now this thing flys the sims 3 works great and so dose every thing else if you are looking to upgrade your gb this is th way to go

As long as you got the stuff worked out on your end, like if this is compatible with your computer, and how many memory banks your computer has and how much ram it can handle, all ya gotta do generally is put it in It only really make's your pc generally faster it you don't have enough ram in the first place- at least 3gb in vista is what i recommend

I installed two of them in my hp computer and couldn't be happier. Programs are quick to open and close and the install was simple.

I bought Kingston memory and i took it back because i noticed Pny was on sale. anyone who says memory is memory dont know. i noticed a performance increase with kingston but i notice even more with Pny and the heat shield is a plus.buy and buy until you cant put no more memory. this is just like stock.

Just got this in the mail, and only took a few minutes to install. I only had 512mb of ram, but after this, the difference is awesome. I want to buy one or two more sticks, especially at $30 a piece. Running Vista, Itunes, and Adobe, a few of these bad boys, definitely helps!

I installed these sticks to improve my dual channel ram from 2gb to 4gb and it worked easily. Although I had to go and install Vista 64-bit to get all 4gb of ram to work, the whole process was easy and the performance increase was very noticable.

Installed 2 of these in my computer in less than 10 minutes. improved performance 100%. At 30 bucks a piece compared to 100 bucks anyone looking to improve their performance should go ahead and max out there RAM.

I ordered this on black friday online for 30 bucks didnt have to wait in line or anyhting haha and it gave my comp a great boost i did get 3 of these though so it gave a super boost
