Nice 8gb upgrade

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used this RAM stick (2 of them for dual channel, which does make it faster) to revive my old 2006 Asus desktop. Not really using it for modern gaming (Mainly play total war, AoE, MB 1, etc...), but smaller games, music, school type of things. Bigger gaming is on my other laptop that has a more updated mobo and CPU/GPU. These, though helped change my desktop (15 yrs old) night and day. It used to take 2-5 min for my desktop to restart or start back up. Now it takes MAX 20 sec. Im getting spoiled now. Just changing the RAM alone isnt going to fix everything (obviously) but upgrading an older PC with 8gb sticks (instead of the 2gb or 4gb) will definitely help with RAM intensive apps. Lookin' at you google chrome.

Installed in HP Pavillion 400-214
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used this to add memory to an HP Pavillion 400-214. Note this memory needs a 64-bit OS to be seen. If you install in a 32 bit Windows Environment, the MB will see and show, but it will not show as usable. I had to do a clean install to get the 64-bit version of Windows 10 to recognize the additional memory. Now the HP shows 12 GB available for the usage, less the 1.5 GB shared with Video Card (Integrated graphics card)
