I was needing more RAM to run Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. This definitely does the job. It has made my photo editing so much smother and faster!

Even if you aren't using your laptop to its full potential, 8gb ram in general will make all processes faster. Open and close apps even faster.

Does a good job for my Mac. I have had no issues and it was a breeze to install. Strongly recommended however price from Best Buy is a tad high.

If you've got an old laptop or compact desktop that you are considering replacing, consider possibly maxing out the RAM instead. Most computers of the last decade shipped with 2 to 4 GB of RAM. That was great at the time, but today's software requires lots more RAM to run smoothly. Upgrading RAM is usually pretty straight-forward: you pop open the case, pop out the old RAM and pop in the new. That's about it. Most anyone can do it themselves. But, if you are feeling skittish there are a TON of instructional videos on the web for whatever computer you might have. I've upgraded a lot of computers over the years and this PNY RAM is as reliable as any I've ever purchased. So, check your computer's documentation and, if it's compatible, give it a whirl. It's a simple, inexpensive upgrade that can make your computer feel brand new.

This item was purchased and installed in my computer. I wanted to upgrade the memory in my lenovo and decided on 2 x 8 GB PNY memory upgrade from Best Buy. You won't notice much boost in running normal programs however you'll see vast performance increases running higher end applications. great value

I own a pre-retina macbook pro with 2 RAM slots. Previously, it had 8GB total, but I decided to max it out. I purchased two of these sticks. They exceeded the specs required by my machine. Install on unibody macs is simple. Just remove about 8 screws on the rear and lift the bottom piece off. Take the two existing sticks out, put the two new ones in. Computer immediately recognized the new RAM and everything was peachy.

This memory had a great price and installed in an Asus gaming laptop in seconds. Works perfectly.
