i use this for music so i dont have to carry cds in car

Good for about a week but now it is very hard to push the USB part of the drive out.

It is no different than any other flash drive I would use. I am pretty neutral on it

This item does what it is supposed to do, but it really is nothing spectacular.

I compared the writing speed with a few other drives like Kingston DT101 G2 (Data Traveler) 8GB, Lexar JumpDrive TwistTurn 8GB, Lexar JumpDrive USB 3.0 32GB. All drives were connected to the same USB 2.0 port. As a result, this one is slowest and I got only 1/6 speed of Lexar JumpDrive USB 3.0 32GB. I will stay away with PNY.

used ones, download speed was not great. worked fine after, used 10-20 times

it was cheap so i bought it, haven't used it yet,but I'm sure its ok.

This USB is perfect for having your work in a safe place.

Is broken easy and for that reason I don't like it.

I bought this flash drive during Black Friday, so its had a good 4 1/2 months use thus far. I needed a larger drive for my media class as I was moving around videos that were quite large (around 1.5 GB), and my other flash drive was not really working out that well. The flash drive is large, 16 GB is a lot of space, I tend to put the videos for the project that I am working on there so I can work on it at home if I have to. I have not formatted it to any specific format as I'm jumping from Mac to PC quite often with this flash drive. Its still in FAT32 with its limited 4GB max file size. For file copying, its decent. I have not tested it for speed and I do not mind waiting a bit for files to copy. This being said, it "seems" like it can copy larger files faster than smaller files. So if I move 1 GB in two 500 MB files, it may copy faster than 1GB of say 50, 20 MB files. The only cons that I have with this flash drive is that after daily usage, or rather the first time I pulled the cover, I noticed that the black plastic for the case rubbed slightly onto the clear plastic for the cover. (Factory error perhaps?) After continued usage I can see that it will eventually wear down so the cover would not lock into place. The other reason is that the USB connection itself is not covered. Not that bad if you put it in a case or something, but I usually put mine in my pocket. Haven't had problems with connections yet, (checks for dust/lint), but I can see the connectors scratching on something I am not careful. I do know that the USB port being exposed is just part of the design, I just wish that the cover would extend just a bit further as it just covers the USB connection. So, in conclusion, aside from what I listed as "This product has..." this flash drive is 1. Quite easy to use 2. Copies files quickly (Note that this is USB 2.0) 3. Large size (Who doesn't like 16 GB?) 4. The piece of plastic holding the cover in the locked position will wear down after "considerable" use. (Still far far away for me) 5. The USB connector is not protected. (Win that I won't misplace a cap, lose as dust/lint does go in, and something may scratch the connectors) Oh one last thing. Although the drive is "16 GB" the actual size is, like most storage devices, has less than what they say that they do. My drive has 16,220,256,304 bytes which is appox. 15.1 GB.

if you try to copy several files at a time, eventually windows says it can't be found. if you try to copy just a few files at a time, the same thing eventually happens as the number of files increase. I bought 2 because it was on sale. I think there's something wrong with it and I may not be able to return them because I already threw out the packaging. It is a complete waste of money. They should not sell these.

Only reads one out of every 5 tries.. I've used this brand for all my storage needs, but this particular item is junk.

I think this is the standard item. I wish bestbuy would allowe to convert points for gift certificates.

Does not work with Xbox other than that I don't know much about it

I bought this to put some work on, after it was plugged into computer, it said it was loading but would not load anything or do anything at all. I was very disgusted with it and have never yet returned it as I threw away the cardboard I took it out of ...so it just sits..very bad news for it...

I bought this USB drive and after about a month it no longer worked and I can hear something rattle inside of it. I will not buy from this company again since there are many other brands I can get that dont die so fast. the cost is nothing compared to the data I can no longer access. avoid

Dead out of the package and forced to deal with manufacturer by Best buy. Hopefully the next one will function. This one wouldn't format or erase. Very slow access time.
