This one replaced my old 1 TB HDD that died. Windows 10 boot up is almost instantly now, compared to the old HDD which take minutes to boot. I'd recommend switch over from the noisy spinning hard drive to the solid state drive if you're experiencing delays. This simple replacement renewed/refreshed my PC. It feel new, quiet, and fast again.

Great price for an SSD PNY offers great customer support and they are a reputable memory company so I felt this was a no brainer.

I bought This to only download my games on and it works great!, A lot better then having them on your C drive taking up space and not playing as well as having them on a SSD drive. I got this for $ 59.99 on sale and I like it, I have never had anything go wrong with PNY Products they seem to be pretty dependable for the money you spend.

Purchased this as a replacement for a 500gb platter drive and have been pleased so far. The read/write specs are above par for many of the other disks at this price point. Has been a great performer so far, system had no problem recognizing or using it. Hopefully the price will come down some on the higher capacity versions soon.

These come in a few sizes, but I have used both the 240GB & 480GB versions in customer computers. I currently use one now as a "boot" drive. This brand/model can be used to replace ANY SATA hard drive in a desktop, laptop, Mac, or anything else needing a SATA drive. The speeds are as advertised, I get 480mb/s read/write while in Windows, so the speed is true. Overall installed size (GB) is larger than most drives. It can be used as a "stand alone" backup by simply using a "dock". Add all that to a low price & it's a winner all day. It has a 3 year warranty, I'm not even close. This one's in use 2000 hours & no issues. Should you need cloning software or partition tools, Acronis Home is provided via a download & code. In store you have basically 3 choices of brand/type/price SSD. This one's in the middle & the best value due to speed, construction, warranty, ease of install, & price. Not quoting my cost, but these hover around the $60 mark for a 240GB. Stay away from SanDisk SSD's (3 all were junk). The other brands I've had no problems with, just if you pay more, you're buying the name & not extra speed.

If you've never used a solid-state drive in your computing, by this drive and see how much faster your system can be! Of course, the biggest drawback is the small size of this drive, but is a good entry-level and you can use externals for a lot of the heavy storage. So far have not had any problems with quality.

This SSD is a great drive for the price. It performs nicely as a main drive, roomy enough for Windows 10 and MS Office with all the updates and still has room for WoW and a few games. Everything opens faster, and if replacing a 5400 rpm drive from a budget i5/i7 laptop it will make it fly! So far no issues either! :)

I bought this to replace the 250 GB drive in my older HP pavilion laptop and what a difference! It seems like a new computer. Everything loads so much faster, including Windows. I do some content creation as well and it benefits greatly, especially when I mix multitrack audio. Plus battery life is a bit better.

This SSD fit my Thinkpad perfectly. I used the free software that came with the drive to transfer the data from my hard drive to the SSD. After I transferred the data, I installed the SSD and the computer booted from the SSD and worked perfectly. I was impressed with the performance increase from the new drive.

I been stuck with HDD for a while and this is my first time that I upgrade with a SSD and WOW i really can tell the difference just by turning the pc on, is fast and transferring files is quick to. but keep in mind that you will have to pick witch capacity you want if you have a lots of files already. :)

Great SSD. I upgraded my 2 year old laptop with this solid state drive and now it runs, loads Windows 10 like a new laptop. Great upgrade to get like new laptop performance on a budget. Boots the OS in around 15 seconds. Old mechanical drive took a minute and a half. Couldn't recommend this hard drive more.

Installed many SSD and this is very easy. I needed it to replace a mechanical drive that came with a new laptop. Installation was easy .taking the back off an HP laptop was a lot harder than it should have been. News Flash; don't buy a laptop without access door to the hard drive, you will thank me.

Its not as large as the stand 1 TB hard drive I replaced but for the increased performance and speed Its great

I thought the drive would be no change in speed. I was surprised. With my older drive, sata, t would take some time to boot up. With this drive, it was a matter of seconds. I could not believe the speed. It was easy to install and it came with clone software. The software was easy and foolproof.

Just purchased a surplus Dell Latitude Laptop without hard drive. Decided to try SSD Hard drive and after reading some review, I decided PNY SSD and really happy with it. Took less than 10 sec for the Dell Laptop to boot up and ready with Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit. Glad I got this PNY hard drive.

Wow every computer/laptop should be made with a SSD! Its cheaper to upgrade to an SSD than buying a computer with one. Its easy to install, My laptop boots up in seconds compared to minutes before. An external HD drive is neccessary because SSD storage capacity are small.

Good price for a 240GB SSD. Speed is not at the top end of the charts but also not at the bottom either. Noticed a big difference in boot up time on the pc where it was installed. This SSD drive and more memory will keep me from having to replace a workstation for another year or two.

This is the 2nd PNY I have used in my machine, and they perform perfectly. I use this in a custom-built desktop. Quick access, cool performance, small fingerprint. If you are hunting for a reliable SSD to get you out of the old school HD world, this is a great drive at a great price.
