I bought this to use as a USB backup/recovery drive for a new computer. It formatted correctly and the computer wrote to it okay. Hopefully I’ll never need to use it to recover my computer after a crash.

Disappointing speeds. Grateful for the price, however. But can’t get more than 10mb/s ever. Frustrating, but bought this in a pinch (along with a 128 - which I gave a 3 star review to). Price is the saving Grace.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Works well except that I sometimes have to remove and reinsert it to get the computer to recognize it. This could be a problem with my computer, but I use many other USB drives, and it seems much more noticeable with this one. On the good side, the slide on the protective cover has positive stops when slid open or closed, and the slide stays where you want it. Performance when transferring files is good.
