The colors helped us differentiate picture storage among several family members. At the end of the day we would each use my son's laptop and download our photos on to our 'assigned' storage device.

Exactly what I needed

This is exactly what I needed. I am able to plug this in and there is nothing protruding from the side of the laptop that can get caught on anything or anyone.
