I purchased this drive to use as a dedicated secondary drive for my surface pro. Since it’s designed to be a second drive, a 512 size is adequate. The speed of this drive is good. Read and write is fast and no delays. Not sure on reliability since it’s only 2 months old. It does the job it’s intended for.

I have purchased several memory cards before this one. Not one seem to work right! Finally I got this one! It did cost a little more, but it has been working flawlessly! It large in capacity and it is plenty fast! Works amazing!!

I trust PNY storage, and trust this card to work with my new smartphone.

Works exactly how you would want a mini so Card to work

With new hardware devices, comes the need to expand eventually or sometimes even immediately depending on your needs. While you can easily grab a 128GB or 256GB on the cheap, looking at the prices of the 512GB can be difficult to swallow. Until you see this one. Often on sale, bookmark this if you are wanting to not worry about space for a very long time. This still is and may remain the cheapest 512GB you can but at retail. I got this super cheap during the holidays after Christmas, so save up those gift cards and keep your eyes on this whenever you can!

I always want to keep a curated collection of my personal media on my phone without consuming internal memory, so expanded storage is important to me. My Moto One Ace claims to accept 1TB cards, but those were simply too pricey so I went with this solid alternative. I will have to become quite a 'digital hoarder' before I fill this up. Two pieces of information that everyone who purchase 'storage media' should be aware of: 1) The subtle difference between 'advertised' storage space (almost always base-10) and 'actual' storage space (base-2). The difference becomes much more noticeable ("I'm not getting 512 GB!") as external memory devices get larger. This is a 'quirk' of advertising. 2) Some devices may only recognize external memory if it is formatted with FAT32. I believe the effective maximum upper limit for FAT32 partitions is 2 TB (base-2, IIRC). If you intend to use large, modern external memory storage across multiple devices (e.g. a PC and a TV) you may want to verify that each device recognizes the format, and reformat if necessary.
