We needed a thumb drive that was large enough to hold a lot of video for my Mother-in-Law. And with thumb drives on sale most of the time. This just happen to be the brand on sale the week I went in. I'm a ScanDisc guy, but I have to admit, this PNY 3.0 Turbo is great. Especially the price for the size of the hard drive in it. The only downside, if you want to call it that, is that sometimes the sliding portion doesn't always lock in so it slides when you try to plug it into things.

Best Buy had this PNY - Turbo Attaché 4 128GB USB 3.0 Type A Flash Drive - Blue on sale and I decided to purchase a couple. It's always a good idea to have an extra flash drive around. Flash drives are good to create computer password recovery keys, computer recovery media, and general backups. I purchased this drive because it was 128 GB and USB 3.0, and, yes, I like the blue color. USB 3.0 is always much faster that USB 2.0 in a USB 3.0 port. I was not too concerned about measuring the USB 3.0 speed or verifying the advertised speed because it is still faster then USB 2.0 - and it is fast on my computer. A flash drive is like having a mini SSD in your pocket.

Just to point out, the part number listed here on best buy does not match the part number of the actual units sold in stores. In stores, this has the same primary part number as the "turbo plus 3.0" units and is simply a different color (the suffix of the part number is different- for color). Overall, PNY must be getting flash in smaller modules to allow them to shrink these down this much from the 2 year old 128gb module I already have. I do like the new shape as it makes it easier to remove the device from a usb port, and the protective sleeve works better than the old design which warps with age. my actual unit formatted out (HFS+) to be 132 gb rather than 128, so that's kinda cool- or worrisome if quality control missed that big a difference. So far, the unit performs well as a rsync backup device for my iTunes music library. it runs at around 115mb/s which okay.

easy to use, USB 3.0 lighting fast, lots of space, storage ready for plenty of home entertainment devices. worked perfect with my Sony BDP-S6500

Please note, the Turbo Attache 4 and the Turbo Plus sold at Best Buy are the exact same part number, just different colors. The unit performs well, with middling read/write speed. The actual size in GB in my case was more than 128gb when formatted. The new, smaller size and bent handle shape make the unit easier to pull from the usb plugs and it doesn't get as hot as the previous generation. So far, I've not had a problem with unit, and would suggest only buying when on sale, which seems to be every other week.

Great space to copy all the most important files needed as a secondary backup! Really, why an extra hard drive as a hard drive does not go on your key ring as easily as this. Been very reliable and wonder what took so long to buy this size as previously only at 16 gb. Great price and lots of space. Easily ordered online and quick easy store pick-up. Thanks!

I use flash drives whenever the data can fit -- otherwise a high capacity external HD is the only alternative. This PNY flash drive is compact, has almost 128 GB storage and USB 3.0 at a reasonable price. I have other PNY flash drives and have been satisfied with all of them.

This is my 7th purchase of this pny turbo 3.0 128gb stick since they started selling them. I love how fast they are, it makes large file transfers and backups super quick. Its small size fits almost anywhere but still feels strong enough to not worry about breaking it as some other retractable drives snap in half so easily.

I had previously moved my iTunes library from the internal HD (on a Windows PC) to an external HD to save space. Now I've moved it to this flash drive; faster access, more portable, and less wear & tear on the EHD. Easy to play from the library on the PC, and add/update/sync songs anytime, anywhere. I still keep a backup copy on the EHD, but usage is greatly reduced.

A 128 GB flash drive is perfect for me for transferring the large video files involved with my video presentations and with video courses. For such large files, USB 3.0 is a must as transfer rates are much higher than with USB 2.0.

The PNY Attaché 4 128GB USB 3.0 Type A Flash Drive is significantly faster than earlier USB 2.0 type drives. 128GB provides large amount of storage. I'm very pleased with the drive.

This is the best flash drive I have ever purchased. It has a lot of memory, the collar is easy to slide, and at $30 it is a great bargain. Highly recommended.

Good price when they are on sale. Works great and you can put so many things on them and they don't take up so much space on your desk.

What can I say? A flash drive is a flash drive, right? It holds a lot and the 3.0 runs the data pretty quick. No complaints.

The drive is compact, it can be hung on a key chain and it is fast when used in a USB 3.0 port. Great buy!

This unit has great storage capacity and yet it easily fits on a key chain or in your shirt pocket.

I purchased this while it was on sale and am satisfied with the USB drive. Pros: Small size, version 3.0, works as it should. Cons: No cover for the end of the USB connector, leaving it susceptible to dust, etc. if you carry it in your pocket. It comes with a key chain lanyard. But without a cover or something to keep it from getting wet or damaging it. I didn't want to risk putting it on my key ring. The existing cover does slide back and forth to expose the USB connector that is inserted into a computer. However, the USB contact points are still exposed as there's no end piece to cover the points when the slide cover is in a "closed" position. Ultimately, It's a USB drive and it works as it should. I can't comment on the long term reliability, but I haven't had any issues in the 2 months or so I've owned it. I would recommend this to someone as long as it's deeply discounted. Depending on the price difference, I would look for one with a cover to help protect the device long term. I usually store it in my pocket or in my backpack with other random items. I'm concerned about something damaging the exposed end. I doubt anything in my bag small enough would cause any damage... But I'd rather not take the risk! The reason for deducting one star was because of the lack of a end cover. Otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars.
